Obama-Care

I often hear people tell me that they need a medical procedure that they cannot afford, and they don’t have insurance. They skip going back to the doctor. Instead of taking care of themselves out of their pocket, they neglect their bodies. If insurance pays, it is a different story. Why is this? My deceased wife Barb was in this group. If she had to pay for a treatment she skipped it. She worked as a nurse,  and felt the system owed her the care.

So many times I have heard my own doctor tell me that I need something but my insurance doesn’t cover it, therefore he won’t even think of prescribing it. Why? When I ask if I can pay out of my pocket, he gives me a dumb look like he doesn’t know how to handle a cash customer. Why?

 Our obsession with universal health-care is nuts. We should know by now that if POTUS is pushing  it, that it will be a disaster for all of us. Of course it will be another emergency like the banks, and the car companies, so there will be a hurry for legislation to be passed without any transparency and without anyone reading it ahead of time. Every democratic rubber stamp will be wet with ink on the day of the vote. No amount of  citizen calls, e-mails, and letters to our congressional reps will make a difference. Our congress is a bunch of Obam-ass kissing socialist power grabbers who have forgotten what there jobs are. They represent the people not the president.

Here is my idea of “redistributing the wealth.” Last Sunday, Peggy and I began the day by meeting some friends at the Country Club. We boarded a bus ($30.00 per) and were driven to Chicago. We were early, so the driver gave us a tour of the city. At 1:30, we arrived at the Cadillac theater for the show “Dirty Dancing” ($95.00 per in the Dress Circle). The show was fantastic. I have never seen a better set design than this one. The dancers were phenominal, as was the music. I rate this production five stars.

The driver must have had a promise from his wife, because we made it back to the Country Club in forty five minutes.  We disembarked in good condition($5.00 tip for the driver). Afterward, the group convened in the Club dining room for pasta night. ($40.00 per with drinks). Now I ask you this, would Barack be able to redistribute the wealth as well? Would he have picked as good a show to see? Would the bus be as good? Would the driver take you on an impromptu tour? Would he pick a nice place to eat? Would he pick great people to redistribute too? Just how will he redistribute your dollars?

 I don’t have a single common interest with Barack Obama, how could he possibly know how to redistribute my limited dollars? It just makes sense to control your own dollars. Barack Obama wants to own your wealth and spend it as he sees fit. He may not even spend it on you.

Feed The Greed

Last week,  Sarah Palin took Joe Biden to task for telling Americans that it is “patriotic” to pay taxes. Good old bright-white tooth Joe gave an angry response about how unpatriotic is was for U.S. companies to be shirking their patriotic tax duty by sheltering in foreign countries. His tone of voice was such as to be in command. Well, he is in command, of his lack of business knowledge and simple economics. 

My guess is that right now, all across this country, businesses, large and small, are strategizing on how to minimize taxes under a new socialist president. The stategic planners are dusting off “Plan B.” Many  times, “Plan B,” is a move to another country. It is the very heart of a business to maximize the amount of money they make. After all, anyone can buy a government bond and get a healthy one percent return on the investment. There is nothing more debilitating to a business than paying taxes. In fact, I find it dibilitating too. There is nothing like working your ass off  40-60 hours a week to leave a huge amount of your pay on the table for uncle.

The point that Joe Biden and Obama are missing, is the primary reason for companies moving off-shore; TAXES. The host country sees an opportunity for it’s citizens, while the evacuated country waves goodbye to jobs. Politicians like Biden and Obama, blame the move on a lack of patriotism. It is the “greed of big government” that causes profit making corporations to flee. Big government can never get enough to feed the dragon of socialistic give aways.

I worked for a man who built his fortune by sleeping, eating, and working his business seven days a week for fifty five years. He is in his eighties, and still working. When Ronald Reagan cut capital gains taxes in the eighties, our company went berserk with expansion. The owner couldn’t push us hard enough or fast enough to make investments in new products and markets. The company expanded. The number of people he employed increased from 1000 to 3000. Ronald Reagan didn’t create the jobs, hard working people with an incentive to invest created the jobs. Then came the Clinton years. Taxes increased. My efforts were spent shipping equipment to the far east. I traveled extensively, to train new people on how to make our products on our equipment. Our employment numbers in the states shrunk.

You answer this question, “Is it more patriotic to pay taxes to feed the greed of big government, or is it more patriotic to cut taxes to feed people with jobs?”

Fair Trade

Here is my proposal to help reduce the cost for welfare in our great country. Let’s trade twelve million people from our welfare roles for the twelve million illegal aliens we allowed in. The illegals are all doing the work that those on welfare refuse to take. Why do our citizens refuse to work? Because welfare pays better.

Think of the benefits: 1. We save billions in welfare money, 2.) We send the unhappy recipients back to the country of their ethnic origin thus making them happy to be home again, 3) We make the illegals very happy because we embrace them as the hard working people they are, 4) We get to keep our good laborers and enjoy the fruits of their labor, 5) We eliminate the need for Acorn and free those people to find work in a socialist state, 6) We eliminate the minimum wage because the illegals are happy to make anything, 7) The illegals are happy with whatever amount they make because it is more money than they have ever seen in their own countries, 8) The majority is happy because they have finally repatriated the unhappy people whose decendents were brought to these shores against their will, and the list goes on.

Fair trade? Not even close, we win.
