A Late Tribute

My good friend and bike riding buddy from Georgia sent me this video, and I am very happy he did. It is a great story told by Tony Orlando a pretty good story-teller. It is also a tribute to all veterans everyday of the year. By the way, I have to let you know how I feel about the nut job who stated that we should stop thanking veterans so much. Here is what I think; pull your head out of your ass you have nothing to say about how many times I’ll say thanks to a Vet

A Pile of Excrement

Today the big news is about the Veteran’s Administration Hospital making their customers wait months for treatment. Some have waited so long that they have died waiting. This is not the way we should treat the people who serve the country. The hospital is in Arizona and I heard an interview with Arizona Senator John McCain challenging him on what he will do to correct the problem. My assessment of his answer is nothing. No one is responsible for what is going on. The Senate and Congress only legislates and passes laws, the administration defers to the Department of Veteran Affairs, the Attorney General doesn’t act unless a bureau breaks a law, and then only if it is a law he considers worthy of prosecution. In my opinion the President is responsible for the performance of all the Bureaus and departments. A good CEO will fire bureau chiefs who run shoddy operations. When the main man is lax in his duties so will the Bureau chiefs. They are good, however, at playing pass the buck. Nothing ever gets done and the Bureaus and Departments keep getting larger and more unmanageable. By the time the VA fixes this current problem we will be in some future war, and the retired military people will be dying from chemical exposure, injuries, and maybe even normal health problems.

The real aim of this piece is to point out that the VA Hospital system is a mini-Obama care. It serves a very small segment of the population, i.e. veterans, and is free, and considered an entitlement. What we see in action today within the VA is what we will see in another year or so for those of us forced into Obama care. Limited resources put us on waiting lists for tests and treatment. In the case of a cancer diagnosis, early discovery and treatment is necessary to save a life. Delays are deliberately designed into the system. The Obama care system wants people to die to save the cost of treatment. To me, this smacks of a government that is designing a master race of citizen. Only healthy perfect specimens of human live in a Statist Utopia. The sick, the aged, the mal-formed, the handicapped have no place in a health care system that does not have the resources to care for them.

I thank everyone who voted for the current leader who is succeeding in transforming our country into a pile of excrement. You must be proud of your accomplishment.

John McCain Kept David From Slaying Goliath

Where do I begin? This has been such an emotionally charged week for me as I would like to believe it has been for you. I think the first thing I want to do is to extend my heart-felt thanks to the Leader of the House of Representatives John Boehner. He did exactly what is in his job description, he represented the people. That’s me! It has been a long time since a conservative citizen resident of Illinois has been represented in government. Usually, our Illinois Reps rubber stamp anything the boss tells them to do. As it is, I’m sure my Representative didn’t vote in favor of anything that I told him to vote for. My Congressman voted against me for two reasons: 1. he voted for what Obama wanted, 2. Congressman Bobbie Rush is black and I am white. (Liberals pretend they are not racist, but they are model racists in the twenty-first century.)

In all the years I have been politically aware, this is the first time, I saw an absolutely determined House of Representatives wage war against a President’s legacy bill. I am proud of the House of Representatives. I am not proud of the Senate. The Senate stood strong along party lines and stood firm for Obama’s goal to force his legacy health care program upon us. Instead of thinking about what is good for the country, the Senate slime-balls stood by the most despicable president that has ever pretended to lead the USA. I realize the Senate is the more mature, and the more responsible among our representatives because they have the advantage of the longer term, and as such have experienced more than a lowly Congressman could ever see. What this Senate did however, is stand firm for whatever the president wants without any regard for the will of the country. In this case, these élite members of the upper echelon of Obama’s government disregarded the will of the people because they know better than we do, and Obama Care is the elixir of Utopian society. Don’t you realize that we need this medicine to live?

The Senators who I have the most disdain for are Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham.  I voted for McCain in 2008, and I love the man for his heroic service to our country; Graham I am not to sure about. All along the aged, and learned Senators fought against junior Senators Mike Lee and Ted Kruz in the battle to defund Obama Care. (Defunding Obama Care was originally John McCain’s idea.)

In doing so, they split the Republican party. Why? Because as the senior all-knowing members of the party they flaunted their arrogance, much like Obama has flaunted his arrogance, instead of giving Lee and Kruz a chance to make something happen.

In my job as Chief Engineer of a very large Engineering Department (60 degree engineers) I was the Senior who had seen a lot of stuff tried over the years, and I did. I knew what worked and what we tried before that didn’t, but I realized that if I didn’t allow these younger engineers try out their ideas, they would never grow into super-engineers. I don’t remember how many times the urge to say, “we tried that before and it didn’t work,” wanted to spew from my mouth, but I bit my tongue instead. Because I had the courage to do that and to take responsibility for the failures of my staff, I can take credit for developing a group of engineers who could compete with any other group of engineers in the world and mop the floor with them.

John McCain screwed his opportunity, as did Lindsey Graham, to teach the junior members of the Senate a lesson by letting them run with their plan and to support them all along the way. Instead, these senior senators were too chicken-shit to take responsibility which they didn’t really have to take. All they had to do was to cheer the new guys on. Yes, history says these guys were going to lose, but so did all the guys who came up against the Goliath until David came along. No one told David that the Goliath couldn’t be taken down. David didn’t care, nor would he have cared, he did what was absolutely the right thing to do. He had nothing to lose but his life, but he cared for the people who were backing him. Who is to say that had McCain and Graham cheered the effort that Harry Reid might have flinched and allowed a concession? We will never know.

For all Republicans, Conservatives, and Tea Party Conservatives who read this blog, John Boehner and his cadre of Representatives fought a battle for us that we have never seen before in our life-time; we celebrate and view them with pride. The Republicans did not fail they only learned what will not work against the omnipotent Obama. They came to realize as did the American public that Obama was being very arrogant and stubborn and would rather see a default, than to give an inch. The Republican House of Representatives stood for principle and chose to do what is right for America, and to take the responsibility for what ever happens to them in the 2014 elections. Senators McCain and Graham will go down in history as the guys who split the Republican party at a time crucial to saving America from the curse of Obama Care.

I’m calling John Boehner’s office tomorrow to let him know how proud I am of his effort. I am also calling Senators John Mc Cain and Lindsey Graham to let them know that they are responsible for splitting the Republican Party.

Faction?

Today I heard several newscasters refer to the “faction” within the Republican party that is controlling goals of the party. Even Obama has referred to the “faction” driving the government shut down. Well folks, I’m here to tell you that the faction within the Republican party is larger than the non-faction group. Democrats would like to think that the driving force for the direction Republicans take comes from a small group of ten Tea Party folks who are making a lot of noise. (Why would Obama sic the IRS on Tea Party applications for tax-free status?)

The Tea Party folks are stronger and larger than either Obama or the Republican party will admit. They are voicing a strong opposition to the current trend of the Obama government headed toward socialism. The Tea Party fight against the Affordable Care Act began while it was still less than a thousand pages long. The Democrats fought hard to take control over one-sixth of the US economy and they used every trick in the book to make it happen,

What tricks? Number one was the sense of urgency to pass the bill without any rational debate. Second was controlling the message through the mainstream media. Third was using a Democrat controlled House and Senate to shutter their ears against constituent response. Fourth was bribing dissenting Democrats to change their minds. Not a single Republican voted for the bill.

The tricks didn’t stop there. The Supreme Court joined the fray by deciding to clarify the law to make a ruling. Remember the bill as written could not define whether we would be required to buy insurance (a clear violation of the Constitution) or be taxed for it. The head of the Supreme Court made a final decision by saying the bill doesn’t make sense unless it is clear on that point; was it a tax or a mandate to buy? Chief Justice Roberts decided the bill only makes sense if buying Health Care is a tax and not a mandate. This was not his decision to make, but he chose to make that ruling. He will have to deal with God on that one. Because of his fixing the law, which is not within his jurisdiction the law was upheld. A democrat Congress and Senate who could not write a clear law back then now demands that a Republican House present them with a “clean bill.”

At the time this all transpired, none of the members of the House of Representatives listened to their constituents, and the Senate lined up with the Imperial President.

I remember listening to Senator McCain telling us that the law can always be defunded. Yet, last week, he sided with the Democrats to defeat defunding instead of standing with his Republican constituents. If there is a faction within the Republican party John Mc Cain represents the faction siding with funding the ACA

Today, the President’s administrative people declared they were not concerned by how long the government shut down lasts because they were winning. I can only say those are fighting words for the Faction.

The difference between Obama, his party, and the Republicans, faction included, is integrity. Obama and Democrats are cage fighters, anything goes including eye gouging.

What the faction has to keep in mind is the democrat goal to make health care a single payer system. What ever we do as a faction short-term will only accelerate the system toward a complete government control of health care, like winning the battle but losing the war.

There is only one way to deal with Progressive Democrats, i.e. the same way you deal with Muslims. The final outcome is ugly, and not something Republicans have the stomach to follow through on, they are too principled and honest. On the other side, Obama now wages a battle to annihilate Republicans and the Republican Party. He has no moral compunction to do otherwise.

Be Forwarned

Since I have been able to see through Obama since his first campaign, I can only warn the “twelve” that this guy is setting you up. Don’t believe for a minute that he is genuinely trying to do some good for the country. His record doesn’t support positive moves to improve the economy, foreign policy, the military, nuclear disarmament, or anything. Learn a lesson from Russia, get what you want without any concessions. Learn a lesson from Benghazi, get thrown under the bus as an expendable. Learn a lesson from Fast and Furious, give your drug cartel buddies all the weapons they want, but take guns from you. Learn a lesson from the sequester, he is pissed that you let it happen, this dinner and new attitude is a step toward revenge. img003 There is not doubt that the “twelve” went to dinner with Obama for two reasons, 1) to give the appearance of bipartisan coöperation. 2) to get a really first class free meal.
