Today, I read an article about how colleges are setting up offices intended fight bias in schools.
“When students see something that makes them uncomfortable, hurt or offended, on many campuses they can report that language to the administration — in particular, to something called a bias response team.”
What have we done to our kids to make them so sensitive to speech? My answer is that we have made them social justice warriors, or more simply communists. College administrations set up bias police forces to handle reports by students of all the hurtful language they hear on campus. These people who are so hurt by normal speech fall into the class of snowflakes.
Communists hate free speech, and they want to control the message of everything we hear. If they don’t condone it, they hate it and fight the speaker to silence him. This is in direct violation of our right to free speech.
Many times the speech reported as biased comes from foreign students who don’t fully understand our culture and have no clue about what the First Amendment is. The idea of foreign students in our colleges is a point of bias that I have a problem with. Why in the hell are we the tax payer who pay for state colleges allow these same colleges to recruit and register foreign students over our own kids? One argument I hear is that foreign students pay full-out-of-state tuition. Isn’t this a bias against our citizens? Between out-of-state students, affirmative action, gender bias, and all the other politically correct policies held by colleges, kids born in the USA have problems getting into a state college.
Let me elaborate on these policies:
There is a simple solution to this problem of bias in schools. Purify the state schools so only residents of the state they live in may attend. Eliminate out-of-state students and foreigners.
In the case of gender let the kids who meet the entrance criteria for a given curriculum attend. If it 100% male, let it be. If 100% happen to be female let that be as well. Students who have the freedom to attend but who don’t have the credentials should not. On the other hand if a kid doesn’t meet the criterion he is not accepted. Simple. except that college people love to travel to foreign countries on the company and without foreign exchange programs they can’t. Instead we the tax payer look the other way when colleges promote these programs under the guise of improving the world.
If Iran wants Iranians to be educated let them educate their own people. If their schools are not up to our schools let them find ways to improve. Please, please don’t insist on sending your students to our schools and then make trouble by proclaiming we hold a bias against them. If you live in Indiana and don’t qualify to attend Indiana University don’t cross the border to attend the University of Illinois. Instead find a local Indiana school to learn what you want to learn. There are plenty of private schools all across America that will accept your money.
In oder to get this accomplished we the people have to insist that our state schools meet our demands.

One thing old guys like me get from the youth is that I’m too old and I don’t understand the problems of youth. Well, granted my youth has been long gone, but I remember what my feelings were when I was young and what my priorities were. They aren’t much different today than they were in 1950. There were some big differences, like we didn’t have TV, or video games or computers, or social media to complicate our lives. In fact, telephones were still a rarity. I found this video by an Eagle Scout which pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter of the Boy Scouts bending to the will of communists, and he is spot on.
