Fidel All Over Again?

The past two weeks, I have been driving across the country listening to the car radio and watching TV news programs in several states. In the mid-west I listened to Shawn Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh, once I got to the rockies, that changed. The conservatives were out of range and the towns are too small for two news stations broadcasting. Most carry CNN and a local station. Normally, I like to watch Fox News and CNN. The two networks are diametrically opposite. Fox is conservative, and CNN is liberal as most viewers know.

What I have observed is a fierce bias by CNN toward BO. He is their fair curly-haired boy. Their reports are sickening with mush for BO. Any attack made by John McCain against BO is immediately countered by endless interviews by liberal reporters who openly report their support for BO. How can news be fair if there is such a strong effort pushing a single candidate?

I do not keep it a secret that I am a conservative, so I want to listen to the conservative side of things, and CNN is pure trash in my mind.

It is also evident that BO is running scared over Sarah Palin. An army of people have desended upon Alaska to dig for clues about how to destroy her. Yet I have never heard a single report about BO. Who were his friends growning up? Who were his friends in school? Did he have any? Did they like him? Would they speak up for him?   How many reports have we heard about BO’s efforts in the Illinois Senate and the U.S. Senate?

I would like to know more about BO’s formative years with his mother. After all, he was raised in a foreign country in a faith that is responsible for our current involvement in two wars. Where are the reporters on any of this? Does any body care but me? Instead, I hear a ton of stuff about a woman who has bravely decided to put her life into the political fray. Sure, I want to know her credentials, but so far none of what I’ve heard changes my opinion of her. She is a thousand times more qualified to run this country than BO, and she will only be the VP.

John McCain has the correct stand on all the issues. Most of them involve getting govenrnment out of the business of running our lives. That makes BO nervous because he runs on the issue of building a government that runs your life in all respects. To me, that kind of government is just a heart beat away from communism.

I remember a time nearly fifty years ago, when a smooth talking leader convinced us of what he wanted for his country. We all bought into his message based on his ability to speak so eloquently. He eventually, won his revolution and immediately turned 180 degrees to make Cuba into a socialist state. This guy BO reminds me of Fidel all over again.

Genius

During the Democratic convention, I thought to myself, that if the libs want to kill the cons, they will select Hillary as their VP. Instead BO chose a very nice Senator from RI with a background in foreign affairs. Smart move, since BO doesn’t have a clue unless we’re speaking of Africa, or Indonesia.

All along, I kept telling myself that if McCain was smart, he would pick a woman as a running mate. My conundrum was the Nancy Pelosi image. Most women in politics are no different from their male counter parts.

Last Friday, when McCain announced his running mate, and I learned of her  credentials, I exclaimed, “what a genius.” She is Wonder Woman.

After thinking about it, I realized that Sarah Palin is not much different from my daughter. She is forty-five, one short thesis away from her PhD. in Oncology Nursing, she is a mother of two, she holds a full-time job in a hospital, and does consulting on the side. She and her working husband share care of the children. So, what is the big deal about Sarah Palin’s ability to run the country? Most young women of this generation are working mom’s with excellent credentials to lead. They are great time managers, and juggle tasks with ease. The difference between Sarah and my Jacque is her desire to take on the bullshit of running against the “good old boys.” She is as qualified as most women of her generation are. I don’t think I could say that for BO because I know too many men of his generation that are more than “articulate.” They build bridges, cure diseases, and invent new products. Senator BO has written a few useless bills which will no doubt leave us breathless, but poor. He is touted as having authored the first ethics bill in Illinois. Well, the governor recently vetoed an ethics bill because “it didn’t go far enough.” He organized a community on the South side of Chicago, whatever that means. He didn’t bring back the mills that caused these poor souls to become unemployed, or get these people jobs, but he did organize them. Nor did he get them retrained so they could find new work. I think it means that he encouraged them to “register” to vote so they could pick leaders who would get them more benefits.

It is  my belief that Sarah Palin, like many young women of today, will run circles around BO in any situation. Why are the libs so concerned about a VP choice, and comparing her to their presidential choice? Shouldn’t they be comparing her to Joe Biden?

Consider this:

It takes special people just to live in Alaska.

It takes a special person to take on the establishment and win.

It takes a special person to give money back to the tax-payers. Most would find a way to spend the surplus money on a new give away project to secure a continued existence in the administration.

Finally, when the libs can explain why there are so many unwed mothers in the midst of their party, then they can begin to pick on Palin’s daughter. My guess is that BO will dismiss that question as not relevent and move on, just as he has done on many issues. If the press had balls, they would look at the life of BO’s mother and her liberal-socialist leanings. What am I thinking, what influence would she have had on his upbringing?

Stinkin Thinkin

The world of BLOGs is new to me, so I still explore regularly. Quite frankly, the more I explore the less I want to. I go to the BLOGs that are listed under   “Fastest Growing WordPress.com blogs.” Well, my experience of late has been one of disappointment. Many of them are filled with hate. Thousands of words directed at peoples, organizations, religions, with no end except to register the writer’s hatred for them. As an example, I read one BLOG which was written by a so called “Catholic Christian,” which made some sense except for the fact that the blogger hated all “Jews.” My impression was that he was muslim, but he professed to be a catholic. The commentors were not better. The first commentor registererd hatred toward all christians, “Kill all Christians.” was his comment. The comments directed hatred toward the blogger for his views. My own opinion is that I will not spend any more time reading such diatribe. WordPress would be wise to shut down immediately if that is the kind of content they want to spread.

Many other sites dedicate themselves toward racial hatred. Much is directed toward the election. They do it under the guise of politics, and personal choice. The bottom line is that the liberals are hating the conservatives and the conservatives are hating the liberals. War is another topic that incites hatred. Sure we shouldn’t be in the Afghanistan or Iraq war, or any war for that matter. Had we stayed out of the civil war, we’d all own slaves today. If we stayed out of WWII we’d be marching the duck step, and we would all  have blond hair, and blue eyes. The rest of us would have been sent to the ovens, or we’d be slaves. Had we stayed out of Korea, the North and South of Korea would be under one rule. They would all be starving, and we wouldn’t be buying cheap TV’s and Hyundi cars. Had we stayed out of Viet Nam, our population would be 50,000 stronger, and the population of Canada would be less. There are bloggers venting hostility toward our government for all of these events. We blame the government for everything, yet we put them in office. If we don’t like what they are doing, we should vote them out. We should write to them, call them, e-mail them with our discontent. Instead of taking action, we sit on our asses and write thousands of words on the world wide web to spread our hatred for the best government on the globe. The problem is that less than half the voting population votes, so we place ourselves at the mercy of the forty percent that do vote.

Today, I had lunch with a retired school teacher. She related stories about how testing under the “No Child Left Behind Act,” makes no sense at all. The kids still don’t learn, don’t want to learn, their parents don’t give a shit, but the President and the legislators have taken it upon themselves to make it happen with the new law. It’s an impossible task, so the educators  tailor the testing to get students, without a brain, get through school with what they do know. I wanted to puke. I know now why I am a conservative. The government should not be allowed to interefere with any educational matters. We’d save a bunch of tax money if we eliminate the Department of Education immediately. There I go, I’m venting just like all bloggers do, so I’m caught up in the ether of hate, just like everyone else. You know what? Life was much simpler before the internet and the  world wide web.

Are all of these words that vent all this hatred getting us anywhere?
