Tens Seconds to Puke

Last night I watched ten seconds of the Democratic National Convention. I never thought I would live to see the day that a professed communist addresses the nation on live tv on a daily basis. Read the history of Bernie Sanders and tell me if I am wrong. This guy has a screw loose if he really believe that Socialism = Communism is right for the world. The only people who love Communism are the leaders who are in charge. They love tending slaves which is what all the other people in the population are, and they are the slave masters wielding the bull whip to keep us in order.

I would really like to see what our country would be like if all the news media was totally unbiased and not leading the charge toward socialism. Maybe, just maybe we would be more civilized and orderly.

The First Amendment right to free speech puts the media at an advantage when it comes to spreading harm. They are allowed to write things that are totally wrong and hurtful without any consequence. The more sensational their message the more money they make. When it comes to making money the socialist news-media becomes capitalist, and hides behind the First Amendment.

And that is all I want to say on that.

Day 24- Quarantine, COVID-19 Warrior

COVID-19 WARRIORIt is a beautiful Good Friday in Frankfort, Illinois today as the COVID-19 Warrior made his patrol around the town. Armed with his trusty bar of soap, face mask, goggles, and gloves, only thing spoiled the day, the temperature is a brisk 40 degrees Fahrenheit. After all it is still only April. Last year around this time we had snow.

I watched the news this morning for just enough time to realize the world is going stir crazy over COVID-19.  Two short weeks ago all I heard was how we were going to watch our country die if we didn’t hunker down and hide from the virus. The President was a national hero by reporting daily the efforts being made by all to avert deaths. Hospitals of a thousand or more beds were being constructed, masks were in short supply, then other forms of protective gear also went short. Health workers were the new warriors on the front-line fighting the invisible enemy. I have to agree, nurses and doctors have been working valiantly to maintain order and sanity in our health care system.

I have also been reading many blogs and news sites about how the virus spread and its origination from Wuhan. How the World Health Organization (WHO) told us in the early days that the virus is not spread by people. How they supported China and their efforts to control the spread. Yet somehow, the USA has the virus all across fifty states while China has it only in one geographical area which coincidentally is the home of a biological lab. How can China keep the virus from spreading across its country and we can’t? Either they don’t travel anywhere except to the USA, or their mitigation efforts are much more advanced than ours.

I have conjured two wild conspiracy theories which I want to spread across the internet as food for thought.

  1. It is known that China has set up an area to which they send their muslims. There are over a million muslims now held in limbo in this area. It makes logical sense to me that some radicalized muslim group would inflict the scourge of COVID-19 upon the perpetrators of this atrocity by stealing the virus from the biological lab, and  spreading it all about the Wuhan area. They were able to do so with abandon because they are jihadists and ready to die for their cause. By the way, so what if the virus crosses into Europe and to the USA there are infidels everywhere?
  2. China’s ultimate goal to rule the world is widely written about, and this may have been their way of stepping up the plot. What better way to cripple the Western World than to kill the economies of their countries? President Trump zeroes in on China with his philosophy of evening out the playing field of trade. He is right, but the deal he made with China has cost them dearly, and this Pandemic may be China’s answer to slowing or even destroying the American economy. One can never underestimate the extent a communist country will go to to spread it’s stupidity.

I totally agree with the President’s next target the World Health Organization. Why is America paying four hundred and fifty billion dollars a year to support the WHO when China only pays forty billion? A very good question. Gone are the Nixon days of the seventies when China had no way to feed it’s people. It is no secret that the USA and European companies all ran to China to takes advantage of their cheap labor so we could enjoy low cost products. The USA gave up its entire manufacturing capability. My company did the same. The problem is that we are still treating poor China s if they were still poor. They are not. They are a huge economy only a few dollars away from overtaking the United States or the EU. So why should we continue to treat them so favorably like they were poor China. They are fat-cat capitalistic communists. They have learned to adopt capitalism as a tool for spreading their socialist government.

China still has many millions of people who are poor and starving, but they are also very rich and can use some of their wealth to put into practice some of their own socialist ideas. Why are they not leveling the way of life for all their people in the Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer socialist way? Instead they have created two societies, one poor, and one very rich, and they play the world to sympathize with their poor, and control the rich with the iron fist.

Here are some of the things the President and his task force are being accused of:

  1. Not stopping travel to the USA. Not true, Trump banned flights from China as soon as he could in January. This was not an easy decision to make. His mistake was not realizing that travelers from China to the USA would take another route to get here, i.e. via Europe. When he finally woke up he shut off that route also.
  2. The task force refused to recommend wearing masks. Why? Early on the WHO said it wasn’t necessary.
  3. The task force changes the model used to change outcomes to suit their agenda. My opinion is that even if they didn’t use the same model throughout this pandemic it wouldn’t change the result much. The models are all based on mathematics and the formulas are derived from differential equations. Anyone with experienced with differential equations knows that you can incorporate hundreds of variables, and if you don’t know enough about a particular variable you make assumptions. Also, many variables are dropped if the assumption is they are inconsequential. All of us knows that assumptions often make an ASS out of U and Me.
  4. Trump should open the economy and let the virus run its course. True, in that we will not develop an immunity to the virus if we don’t catch it. Is it worth the deaths that might occur to pay for that immunity? If the deaths predicted by the early model calculations occur I would answer no, it is not worth it. If the deaths that occur are no greater or slightly higher than that of a normal flu season, my answer is yes its s worth it.  Is the natural (herding) immunity gained worth destroying our health care system worth it? No, not in my opinion but two trillion dollars is huge price to pay. I think we could rebuild the health care system for less than two trillion dollars.

Most of the answers to the questions being posed require a crystal ball. There is only one entity that can answer them with accuracy, that is only God has the answers. Yet, I believe there will be fighting over this matter to change the minds of voters to put the blame of this pandemic on Trump. They will do it just to get their socialist feet in power, and thus give China the upper hand at ruling the world.

One Way To Enforce Stay In Place, Or Maybe It Is Just Poor Planning.

She Hit It Outta’ the Park

A truly great essay and a genius level analysis of our millennial generation. How can our youngsters truly know what living poor is all about? They can’t know and never will know until they get into the world and have to fend for themselves. Prosperity is their norm. Please read the attached essay by Alyssa Ahlgren

To Whom It All Concerns….
My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us
I’m sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis trying to think of what to write about.
I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of Democratic candidates calling for policies to fix the so-called injustices of capitalism.
I put my phone down and continue to look around. I see people talking freely, working on their MacBooks, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me.
We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we’ve become completely blind to it Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose.
These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don’t give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty. One. Times. Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards.
Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful.
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow.
Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, “An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity.”
Never saw American prosperity!  Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I’ve ever heard in my 26 years on this earth.
Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity.
I know this first hand, I went to college, let’s just say I didn’t have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity?
We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished.
Yet, we have a young generation convinced they’ve never seen prosperity, and as a result, elect politicians dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism. Why?
The answer is this, my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn’t live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don’t know what it’s like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones.
We don’t have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it’s spreading like a plague.”

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When one lives in prosperity from the minute they are born, how can they understand poverty? People of my generation witnessed the struggle of our parents working to give us what they never had. My grandfather John sent my Dad to America because he “could not feed him”. My Dad left, and never looked back. He knew what poverty was.

My dad had an aversion to potatoes, and when I challenged him once on why he didn’t take any potatoes at the Sunday dinner table he told me “I ate enough potatoes in my home country.” He left when he was seventeen. In my mind that is a whole lot of potatoes to eat in seventeen short years.

As an adult, I traveled to the far east on my job. I visited some pretty poor places in Malaysia and Indonesia. I came home with one major impression. These people work for pennies per hour because they are hungry and those pennies represent more money than they have ever seen before.  In the USA we have people who protest the poor wages in these far away countries yet our poverty level salary would make the people in those countries very rich. As my mother reminded me often “we have a loaf of bread under each arm and we complain that we don’t have anything to eat.”

What socialist leaning millennials do not understand is that to bring the level of poverty up in the world will also mean reducing the wealth of our nation. So the complaint of never having seen prosperity will reverse to seeing poverty in a grossly mis-calculated backfire.

Is This the Future of America??

Trump Economy a Failure

I didn’t watch the democrat debate last night because I didn’t feel like getting sick. I saw enough on the news this morning to cause my gall bladder to kick out some serious bile. This bit featured several candidates proclaiming that the Trump economy is a failure because it only addresses the rich, poor people do not benefit.

Let me see now, as I read this they mean that the lowly people don’t get to make the same as the rich. I kind of remember that in a socialist society like the USSR, Cuba and Venezuela the lowly people all make the same as the rich right? That logic fails me. I keep hearing that the Cubans are all poor, but the rich are still rich, except there may be fewer rich people in Cuba. Why? Because the only rich people are the ones running the country, same in Venezuela. At least in the Trump economy there are more rich people because they are all working their asses off to make it. While all of the lowly poor people now have jobs and they are richer than they were under our former leader’s economy when everyone was on food stamps.

There must be a DNA link in me that keeps my feeble brain thinking that the socialist way is evil for the world. There must also be a DNA link in the socialists that cause them to believe that evil is good. Why else would so many of them preach the same wretched doctrine?

I read an article about the new homeless people in all the major cities of the USA. Many of them don’t want to live the idyllic life we normal people live. They actually want to live homeless because it gives them a degree of freedom and liberty not available to those of us who believe in sleeping in a bed. My mind immediately flashed a picture of settlers living in the old west, and homesteaders living in Alaska’s most remote areas. They love living free. A modern day homeless homesteader likes the urban environment over the natures wild best. It is easier to bum a meal on the streets when you get hungry than it is to go catch a fish, or to shoot a squirrel then have to clean it to eat it.

So here we are living in a society that is split into many factions. The socialist side wants to mind control, care for, and provide equal misery for everybody while the capitalist side wants total freedom to allow people to make money and care for themselves. No matter which faction you belong to there will be a fraction of them who are filthy rich who will lord over all the others.

However, I have never heard a socialist ever admit that the ruling class lives a better life than those whose lives he is making better. They are all kind of like Bernie Sanders who drives a posh car, has several homes, and lives rich while preaching free stuff for everyone.

Lately, I have been reading stories from countries who have adopted democratic socialism that are not sounding so beautiful. Evidently a seventy percent taxation is getting these people down, especially after taking in so many refugees and immigrants.

All I can say is that my kids and grandkids will have to deal with it. My sorry ass isn’t going to be around too much longer and I am tough enough to live through most any kind of political culture we impose upon ourselves. I am glad however, that I chose to live conservatively because that is why I can afford to do the things I do today.
