For my friends in Illinois: We are coming up on a critical election in 2014, just 12 short months away. Our current Senator Richard Durbin is in his third term(18 years folks). I must confess that I voted for him the first time. He hypnotized me with his rhetoric just as Obama has hypnotized the entire country. Over the last eighteen years I have listened and watched Durbin transition from a moderate Democrat to a flaming Obama loving liberal.
Illinois has a huge powerful political machine froth with corruption. Durbin is a part of that machine. Illinois has neutered the Republican party and essentially we live in a socialized state.
Today, I learned who Durbin’s opposition is. Doug Truax, an unknown, is taking on the Illinois Democrat Machine. I urge you to visit Doug’s website and become familiar with the next Senator from Illinois.
Well, the government shut down and it is my fault, since I am the nasty ass Tea Party Patriot that demanded his Congressman hold the line on spending. Come and get me Obama.
Since I am responsible for the shut down I should have some say in which non-essential services go.
1. Close the kitchen in the White House and send the cooks home.
2. Same for the housekeeping staff
3. No more gas or chauffeurs for the Beast, helicopter, Air Force One, or the fleet of limos.
4. No Secret Service protection for the man or his family.
5. Close all dining and cafeteria services in the Senate building.
All of the people affected by these services continue to draw healthy pay checks and can afford to eat out, use cabs, and hire outside cleaning services.
The first lady can haul her butt out to the White House farm and harvest some okra and collard greens. She might even try to light the stove in the kitchen and cook with the girls.
The Senate can call Tony from Villa Rosa in Frankfort. Tony will be happy to arrive daily at the front door of the Senate building with his food truck and supply Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and the other ninety-eight shills who rejected all House proposals with some delicious South Chicago Heights Italian fare.
This morning’s news upset me quite a bit. The announcement about two Universities being terrorized by bomb threats coming by phone from people who sounded mid-eastern was enough for me. I dashed off a letter to my Senators and Congressman. Then I e-mailed the letter. To make sure they got the message, I called their offices and dictated the letter to the aid in charge. Not satisfied, I sent a signed copy of the letter by Priority mail to Senators Durbin, Kirk, and Congressman Kinzinger. The message is don’t f__k with our kids.
The full content of my letter is below. I recommend you copy this letter and send it to your Senators and Congressmen as well. We have to make our voices heard. The insanity must be stopped.
Please pass legislation immediately to do the following:
1. Suspend all Visas’ of people from Muslim countries to the USA.
2. Prohibit entry to any Muslim into the USA
3. Find and deport all illegal Muslim people living in the USA
4. Prohibit further immigration of Muslim people into the USA.
5. Interview and watch all non-citizen Muslims within the USA.
6. Close the borders between Mexico and Canada to stem the tide of illegal Muslims entering the USA.
I request this action as a citizen who totally understands the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I also understand that our Congress has control over writing laws to make our country safe. None of the requests I have made above are out of the ordinary nor would they violate any Constitutional rights. Radical Muslims have attacked or threaten to attack us from within. It is our duty as a nation to take action against these aggressors.
I ask for this legislation because of the most recent attack on the USA by AL Qaeda at the Universities of Texas and North Dakota. Since we are at war with terrorists these actions are appropriate and mandatory as a way to control the enemy. Since there is no safe way to determine which alien Muslims are radical, and which are not, we must make them all suspect and send them back to their home countries.
We must keep our country safe from attack by anyone from anywhere.
Please do the right thing and place this legislation before the Senate for a vote by next week. I know you can do it if you really care about America.
Please take note of the above graphic. It is a budget. It is by a group of women who never worked a day in their lives (stay at home mom’s). I feel you need to see this because it has been so long since you and your fellow Senators have looked at a budget, and worse yet since you approved one. It is not a hard thing to do, one must look at income, and limit spending to equal the income. It really is that simple. Now, let me see you try that. Is it so hard for you and your elitist fellows to get simple concepts into your cranium’s overly crammed with political rhetoric?
Dear Senator Durbin;
Thank you for responding to my letter regarding your inability to hold town hall meetings with the people of Illinois. I appreciate that you are a busy man and prefer to receive input from the select few who will support your own views.
It takes courage to stand before a group of angry voters who are disappointed in their representative’s performance. I see by your actions that your character is not what I had always thought it to be. I thought you were a strong leader who was concerned for all the people of Illinois. I see by your actions that I was wrong to assume that.
I am an American who believes that his country is sacred because it was founded on the principles of personal liberty. I see big government taking those liberties away from us faster than it takes a toilet to flush. I believe you and President Obama do not get it. It, being the fact that I am not alone. How can you possibly legislate when you do not know the mood of your constituents? By not hearing us out face to face at town hall meetings you cannot possibly know how we feel. Sure an angry constituency can become unruly, but only if their Senator gives them a standard line created by the bureaucracy in Washington. Tell the town hall people you understand their needs. Tell them that you will go back to Washington to stop wreckless spending, become fiscally responsible, and not vote for bills that are so long and impossible to understand, that a bevy of lawyers would have trouble doing so.
Here are some of the points I wanted to talk to you about:
1. Health Care Reform is needed, but not what is spelled out in HR3200. I do not want you to support HR3200.
Come back with something that will not take money from Medicare to fund it. The President so eloquently told us that he will only eliminate waste from Medicare; some five hundred billion dollars worth. Yet, when he asked the entire government to eliminate waste from their budgets they could only come up with one hundred million dollars. Do you really expect me to believe that you and President Obama are capable of finding, and eliminating that much waste? That kind of reasoning is exactly why town hall meetings get noisy.
Take out the part about setting up every school with Planned Parenthood centers.
Add wordage that is specific to not funding abortions. Specify the word abortion, and not sneak it in under the radar as a medical procedure.
Add words that ban government operated public option health care system.
In other words, HR 3200 is not worth the paper it is written on. Do not vote for HR 3200.
2. Legislate tort reform now, don’t wait for a reform bill.
3. Eliminate the barriers to private sector competition by allowing insurance companies to cross state lines with their plans.
4. Pass legislation that requires the president to obtain congressional vetting and approval on his “czars.”
Need I go on some more, or do you get it? If you can address these issues in a rational logical way, and not in a party controlled response, I will regain my faith in your ability to serve as my Senator.
