Congress In Action????

The Americans With No Abilities Act (ANAA)
Senators are considering introducing legislation that will provide new benefits for many more Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills and ambition.
“Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,” said California Senator Kamala Harris. “We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability (POI) to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.
In a Capitol Hill press conference, Nancy Pelosi pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons with No Ability
Under the Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million mid-level positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.
Finally, the Americans With No Abilities Act contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, “Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job? “As a non-abled person, I can’t be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,” said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, KY due to her inability to remember “righty tighty, lefty loosey”. “This new law should be real good for people like me. I’ll finally have job security.” With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Senator Dick Durbin, II, said: “As a senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so.

This message was approved by Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Diane Feinstein, Kamala Harris, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, Bernie Sanders, Chuck Schumer, Jeff Flake, Chris Van Holland, AO-C, Elizabeth Warren, Nancy Pelosi…….. all of whom certainly are; Americans With No Abilities whatsoever!

Dear Senator Durbin

At the end of March, 2019 I sent an E-mail to my Senators Dick Durbin, and Tammy Duckworth asking that they fund President Trump’s request to build a wall at our southern border. I knew I’d get an answer from Durbin because his term expires in 2020, and he needs votes. He didn’t disappoint me he wrote the following:

Dear Grumpa Joe:

Thank you for contacting me regarding funding for a new border wall.  I appreciate hearing from you.

At midnight, on December 22, 2018, President Trump shut down the government because funding for a new border wall was not included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019 appropriation bills.  On January 25, 2019, President Trump signed a temporary spending bill passed by Congress, which funded government agencies through February 15, and brought the longest government shutdown in history, and the third government shutdown of President Trump’s term, to an end.

On January 30, 2019, the first public meeting of the FY 2019 Homeland Security Appropriations Conference Committee, of which I was a part, took place.  I called on Democratic and Republican conferees to focus on smart and effective border security measures instead of the President’s threats to shut down the government again without border wall funding.

On February 16, President Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act (P.L. 116-6), which provides funding for the Department of Homeland Security for the remainder of FY 2019.  This bipartisan package rejected President Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion for a border wall and makes responsible investments in border security.

I support strong and effective border security.  The type of border security that Democrats have long-supported, including increased funding for technology, is what experts have said is needed and actually works.  What doesn’t work is an ineffective, expensive medieval wall.  While the President claims he wants to build this wall to stop the flow of drugs, his own Administration has stated that the vast majority of lethal narcotics that cross our southern border come through legal ports of entry.  That is why our bipartisan agreement to fund the government provides additional funding for technology and Customs personnel—real solutions that will help stop the narcotics that are killing our children. This is real border security to address a real threat to America—the opioid epidemic.

Second, we insisted on humanitarian assistance such as medical care to ensure those who come to our border are treated in a humane way.  Sadly, two small children came to our border and died before they could receive the medical assistance they needed. I do not ever want to see that happen again.

Finally, we rejected the Administration’s demand for changes in our asylum laws that would undermine our legal and moral obligations to provide safe haven to families and children fleeing persecution.

We must turn away from President Trump’s fear-mongering approach to those who come to our border, many of whom are just seeking a better life as many of our ancestors did.  The President’s approach is not representative of the best of America.  It represents the kind of division that does not recognize the heritage, that makes us who we are as a nation.

Thank you again for contacting me.  I will keep your concerns in mind as the Senate continues to discuss effective border security.  Please feel free to keep in touch.<span “=””>

Sincerely,

Richard J. Durbin

Here is my response to his response.

Dear Senator Durbin:

Thank you for answering my e-mail in which I directed you to vote in favor of funding the wall along the southern border with Mexico.

I understand the trauma you suffered at the hands of President Trump as he took the desperate move to spur Congress into action by shutting down the government. By the way, I totally agree with President Trump’s actions and policies. I totally disagree with the ineffective moves you have made.

President Trump has done more in the past two years to secure the border by action than 100 senators and some four hundred plus congressmen have in the last thirty years. Trump is a true patriot, and you my dear Senator are merely a minion in the world of Progressive Socialism.

Your attitude toward directing billions of dollars into Star Wars like technology to secure the border over simple solid common sense solutions like a “medieval” border wall only proves to me that you are incapable of successfully accomplishing the job the people of Illinois sent you to Washington to do.

As Medieval and unprogressive as walls may seem to you they do work. The Great Wall of China separating Mongolia from China, Hadrian’s wall separating England from Scotland, or more recently the Iron Curtain Separating East from West Germany, or the Berlin Wall splitting a  great city in half are all examples of walls that work. More recently look at the wall Hungary erected in the last two years to keep illegal Mid-Easterners from invading. Walls work! and they are more durable than any modern technology system you will spend billions on, and which will be obsolete by the time of implementation like all things electronic.

You claim experts say technology is a more effective means to secure the border, just who are these experts? Our own department of Homeland Security experts working on the border claim the opposite. I challenge you to set up a debate between your experts and the lowly people from HS. This would make great entertainment and would be educational for you and me both.

You proudly write that you insist on humanitarian assistance to care for sick children coming across. Then you blame Trump for the death of two kids who were moments from death when they arrived. I don’t blame Trump for not performing a miracle nor do I believe any democrat can perform miracles. I do believe the parents of these children should take full responsibility for dragging a deathly sick child hundreds of miles across dangerous territory.

Another point is your statement that you “. . .rejected the Administration’s demand for changes in our asylum laws that would undermine our legal and moral obligations to provide safe haven to families and children fleeing persecution.” First I want you to tell me what persecution these people endured? Second, I want you to tell me how changing our asylum law would do so poorly?

Two weeks ago I watched a video interview with reporters in Honduras who flat-out claimed that the people were not leaving because of persecution, but to find work. The same interviewer uncovered facts that the caravans are highly organized by Left wing Progressive groups tied to the United States. In my view this makes the caravans armies recruited by treasonous enemies from within the US.

If we keep on doing the same thing over and over hoping to change the outcome, but we keep on getting the same outcome we are not being rational; Insanity is defined that way.  It is better to change laws that are not working than it is to leave them be. In other words do something. In my professional life I always mentored my engineers that “I would rather be criticized for doing something than for doing nothing.”

On the subject of controlling drugs coming into the country I recall an effort by the United States referred to as the War on Drugs which has spent well over a trillion dollars since inception. What have we gotten out of that? I think that war is old enough that you are probably one of those who voted for it.

Your attitude about President Trump’s fear mongering approach to those who come to our border is hilarious. Trump is merely trying to follow the rule of law and the system is clearly unable to handle the load. He is not trying to be inhumane, nor is he trying to exclude immigrants. He is trying to include them within the frame-work of the laws you have written to allow them in. Your belligerence toward changing the laws shows me that you don’t give a rat’s ass about these people. The best of America took place in the early twentieth century when the people of the United States welcomed millions of immigrants, but even then there was a limit and the government had to stop immigration to give them time to ASSIMILATE. Then there was a matter of welcoming millions of soldiers back from WWII to give them opportunity to work after fighting for five years for world freedom.

Understand that we the people of America are not as stupid as you believe we are. We understand situations and truly want to do the right thing, but sadly we have chosen the wrong people to carry out actions needed. You and all of your democrat senators as well as too many republicans should be ashamed of your performance about making America the greatest country in the Universe.

Senator Durbin you have served for over thirty years, you should know by now that a divided government does not stand. We have the most divided government we have had since the civil war. We are currently experiencing a second civil war. One half of the country refuses to recognize the President as our leader, and take only action to block his every move. The actions taken by the two political parties are in opposition to each other, and not united for the good of the country.

Listen to me SHOUT at you once again! FUND THE BORDER WALL, and SUPPORT  PRESIDENT TRUMP 100 PERCENT, it is the right thing to do.

As respectfully as an angry man can be.

Grumpa Joe

The only time I ever see my Senator on the news is when he is running for re-election. Senator Tricky Dicky Durbin is usually missing in action until it is time to turn on campaign mode. This time it started when President Trump seated Tricky next to him in the highly visible immigration meeting. Then, the next day Tricky made headlines by accusing Trump of saying why do we want to keep bringing people into this country from shithole countries. Every liberal journalist is now spreading the horror of the words shithole, while the rest of us nod our heads in assent saying “yes why would we?”

What Tricky Dicky does not recognize is that he is responsible for making his home state the shithole of the fifty. We rank second only to San Francisco. Illinois is a blue state, a very, very deep blue state. Even the Republicans on our ballots are RINO’s. One of Tricky’s buddies is a State representative named Mike Madigan. Madigan has been Speaker of the House for more than thirty years.  Four years ago we elected Bruce Rauner a conservative governor and Madigan and the majority democrats have stalled and denied any cooperation. Does that sound familiar? Illinois has operated on continuing resolutions instead of a budget for the past four years even though it is against the law to run that way. The governor refuses to sign a budget that does not include some modicum of pension reforms for pensions. We the people of Illinois pay heavy taxes to fund public sector union pension funds. Unions vote democrat, and there in lies our problem. Which unions are responsible: State workers, Chicago Teachers Union, Police Union, Fire Fighters Union. They all know how to play the media and the politicians at contract time. Absolutely no one wants to fight these unions for reform. Instead of reforming, the unions get raises and more perks.

What does this have to do with Tricky? He is as invisible as the comic character The Invisible Man. Never have I heard him comment positively about reform in his home state. I don’t expect Tricky to waver on any subject close to a leftist’s heart like unlimited immigration, wide open borders, election control, you name it Tricky is all for it and brands anyone who opposes his agenda as racist, da-da-da-da da. His agenda is to make the USA look like Chicago and Illinois. He is blind to the fact that small businesses are flocking to neighboring states for relief. Citizens are moving in droves to states with low income-taxes, property taxes, and low cost state schools. Yes, a vote for Tricky is a vote to turn Illinois, and the USA into a Socialist State.

Where Should I Start?

For the past two weeks I have itched to rant about the liberal dialog trying to destroy President Trump. First it was about the so-called Psychiatrist Dr. Brandy Lee who went to Congress to tell them Trump is a “public health risk”.  How she can tell this from watching him on TV baffles me. It is my assessment from looking at one picture of her and reading this one article that Ms Lee is a Obama ass-kisser and a liberal snow flake.  There, we are even. She said something I didn’t like now I’ve countered with an equally stupid comment. I feel better already. Maybe that is why she is saying what she did about Trump, she wants to ease our anxiety over our Trump admiration. As little as eighteen months ago my own spoken words were very negative about our then leader Obama. The difference between then and now is that any liberal who heard me labeled my speech racist and dismissed it, and me. Ms Lee is not caucasian, rather Asian, therefore I will also call her remarks racist.

The second issue to incite me occurred today when Democrats specifically Tricky Dicky Durbin from the Socialist state of Illinois went ballistic because Trump called Haiti a shit hole of a country. All I can say to Durbin is that the truth hurts. He has attempted to explain Trump’s wish to end “chain migration” as racist. I will give Durbin credit for creativity. His interpretation of chain migration is from the time when slaves chained to ships were brought to America against their will. On the other side of that coin, Durbin shows his total lack of understanding of the current immigration term which means one person granted amnesty may invite every relative he knows get into the country on his shirt-tails.

Tricky Dicky is up for election in 2018 so he has formally opened his campaign. Notice, he sat next to Trump during the unprecedented open meeting on immigration. He has been in the Senate long enough to belong to those who should retire because they have been in the office too long.

I have  never heard Durbin speak sensibly. He is a smooth and eloquent speaker, but after I listen to him awhile I ask myself what the hell did he just say? The words flow, but they don’t make any sense. Every time I see him on TV I look for what he is carrying in his right hand, I want to see the carpetbag. Before entering public office Durbin spent time in a law practice and as a teacher, but somehow he has managed to become a millionaire. I don’t know how people can become so rich. I worked my ass off for over sixty-nine years and I am far from a millionaire.

Unfortunately for Illinois, Durbin will get re-elected again. He has the entire democrat machine behind him and a sizable war chest. Republicans in Illinois don’t stand a chance.

On the Ninth Day

No words needed, just watch and listen to the video.

READ THIS AND LEARN………..

Did you receive your Medicare Handbook for 2015 yet? If you have already received yours in the mail please turn to page 12 and go down to the bottom of the page and read Find out what you pay for Medicare (Part A and Part B) . It states that the premium and deductible amounts were not available at the time of printing. It further states you may call 1-800-633-4227 to get the most up-to-date info.

I did just that and talked with a Medicare representative. She told me that they probably would not have those figures in until the end of the first week or possibly the second week of November. Now, let that sink in.

As soon as she stated that to me I replied , My, isn’t that convenient for the Obama Administration to actually hold off on those figures until after the 2014 election results. There was dead silence on the other end of the line. I told her thank you and that I would call back.

I may be wrong, but I really think that I am right!

You see on our Social Security increase for next year we are only receiving an increase of around 1%. Even the military are getting just over 1%. You can bet after the November 4th election the increases for Medicare A & B will be greater than any 1%. That is why they are delaying what the increases will be. Because if they had put it in that handbook, any elderly would be voting against the Democrats.

So anyone voting for the Democrats in the forthcoming elections deserves to get the increases that are coming after November 4th.

******************************************

Since I already passed Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel’s (architect of Obama Care) optimum age to die (75) I am a Zombie, but I did not find any references in the Medicare 2015 book on benefits for Zombies.

I received the above message as an e-mail from my brother who is quite concerned about costs as all seniors are. This delay in announcing the premiums for 2015 falls right in line with earlier Obama Care announcements.

To be sure I was not being duped again, I called the number above to check things out.

Here is what I learned. Contrary to the information in the scare message, the agent gave me the costs and deductibles for each of my plans A, B, and D.

Here they are:

Medicare A-Doctor visits-FREE (in line with Obama Care) the deductible remains the same.

Medicare B-Hospital stays-$104.90/mo unchanged from 2014, the deductible goes to $1216.

Medicare D-Prescription plan-here is where things got interesting. The agent asked for my address,  county, and drug store. Strange, I thought. She returned with the following. My monthly premium for the prescription plan is $48.90, the deductible is $275, and the quarterly cost of my drugs will be $102.62.

Now that I know Obama did not with hold this information before the election I feel obligated to vote Democrat across the board for this gift, NOT!

I will not vote Democrat except for maybe one office. It seems our Sheriff, named Paul Kaupas is retiring. He hired his cousin Ken Kaupas from the State Police a short time ago, and soon afterwards promoted him. Ken Kaupas gets pension from the State for his service with the State Police. He will receive another pension for his tenure working for the Sheriff, and if elected, he is entitled to another pension as Sheriff. I lost track, is that double or triple dipping? Somehow this seems unfair and unethical, but it is perfectly legal. What makes me sad is that Kaupas is a Republican and he is as dirty as any Democrat ever. This is a normal process for Illinois politicians and for School Superintendents too. State of Illinois political retirees live a pretty fat life on our tax dollars.

In another case, our Senator Dick Durbin seems clean, but is he? His wife works as a lobbyist in Washington and gets some pretty fat paychecks doing so. It seems the Senator knows exactly who to hire for the best paying jobs. Durbin went to Springfield 34 years ago as a former teacher, now he is one of the richer guys in Illinois thanks to his enterprising wife.

Somehow the thing reeks of skunk to me.

My Flag Flies Everyday

A week ago I sent an e-mail to my Senators Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk asking them to do something about the border. Sadly, I did not save my message.  Not satisfied with that, a day later I tweeted Durbin to “Close the Border Now!”

Today, I received two responses from the computer, er-uh, I mean from Senator Durbin. Both of them the same. I guess anything border related gets this letter regardless of what else I spoke about in my e-mail. His reply does nothing to address my Tweet to close the border. Senator Kirk has not bothered to reply to any of my messages.

What is interesting is how Durbin shifts blame for our border crisis from himself and Obama to the House of Representatives. His letter explains what is in the Senate bill awaiting approval by the House.
