The Party of Murder

Abortion is a topic that is too popular today. I began my writing with an essay on abortion in 1959 when I had to take a test to determine if I had enough English skills to transfer to the University of Illinois without re-taking English. I didn’t have to retake the subject. At that time, the majority of the country was solidly opposed to abortion. People were more God-fearing, moral, and ethical about the act of abortion. At that time, I based my essay on the fact that abortion is murder. A look though out history one learns that murder is never condoned. It is always considered a sin by moralists and churches around the world. If I may quote a 1968 cigarette commercial, “You’ve come a long way baby.”

Oregon Right to Life sent mailers making dubious claims about what they call “late-term abortions” in Oregon. This flyer attacked Democratic candidate for the state Senate, Mark Meek, who has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood.

Today, abortionists use the argument that a baby is only a zygote when it is conceived. Thus, the moment of life becomes an argument in deciding when the zygote becomes human. Somehow, this argument makes abortion before that transition occurs okay. Women argue that they need an abortion because they don’t want to be pregnant, they don’t want a baby, they can’t afford a baby, they were raped, their life is in danger, and many more reasons than I can remember right now. It is my belief that the number one reason for abortion is contraception: Oops, I made a mistake.

Today, there are some States where late-term abortion is considered legal. Again, we have to define late-term to decide the fate of a human being. Some people argue that late-term ends only when the fetus exits the woman. This definition is concerning because we are then murdering a fully developed baby and using the finish line as the argument in favor of doing it. The worst case that I have heard about is that of a botched abortion where the baby is now out of the woman but seriously injured during the act of aborting it. Some doctors feel that if they just make the ruined and seriously injured baby rest comfortably until it dies it is morally acceptable. The arguments keep coming, but the fact remains that biologically, the act of sexual union is designed to procreate. All living things procreate. Procreation is an inborn instinct which cannot be ignored, and at times difficult if not impossible to suppress.

Life has to begin at some point. I believe that the point is the moment the sperm penetrates the ovum and becomes the zygote that splits into two cells and begins forming the fetus, which then ultimately becomes a human. This process leads me to believe that life begins at conception; the instant that zygote splits into two cells the process of forming a human has begun. The arguments begin.

If I get sick and die, it is a natural thing. If I am injured and die, it is a normal thing. If someone shoots a bullet into my heart and I die, it is not normal. It is an intentional act committed to injure or kill another human. Depending on the circumstances, if shooting a bullet into my heart and I die, it is considered murder. The same holds for the embryo or fetus. There are typical natural reasons for an embryo to die; this is called a miscarriage. Although it is sad, it is a natural thing. A physical or chemical intervention designed ot terminate the embryo or fetus is not natural and considered murder. Murder is an unnatural intentional ending of a life.

Since Roe v Wade was passed into law in 1973, over 62,500,000 abortions were performed. That amounts to the murder of eighteen percent of our current population. I have to ask if the current Democratic government allowed ten million people to cross our borders illegally as a way to compensate for the loss of life by abortion. I wonder what kind of world we would live in if these murdered humans were allowed to live everyday lives. DId we abort the one who would have cured cancer, or the one who cured dementia, and all the other life taking diseases? Have we killed the person who would have brought about world peace?

By ending Roe V Wade and forcing the fifty states to come up with their laws regarding abortion, we are affected more equally within our rights. I, for one, do not condone my tax dollars being used to pay for abortions and want the right to decide within my state how to handle the situation. Why is it that women want the state to pay for these mistakes? Shouldn’t the perpetrator be made to pay for their situation? After all, I did not get to experience the pleasure of the orgasm why should I have to pay for the consequence?

My answer is to allow abortions, but do not make me or the government pay for it unless it is mine. An abortion, although it is not an ordinary healthcare issue, should not be covered by any state-controlled healthcare plan. What if the abortion is botched, and the woman’s life is in danger who is it that pays? I would address this the same as if the person failed in an attempt to commit suicide. Go to the ER, get fixed and then argue with your insurance company. What if the woman is dying, but the abortion is not complete? Is the doctor arrested for performing an abortion? My answer is that the doctor would not be arrested because he did what was necessary to save the woman’s life. The arguments keep rolling in. The one best answer is not to have an abortion, then you wouldn’t have to ask these questions.

On the business side of things, abortion is a source of income from two avenues. The abortion act itself and second payment from the sale of infant body parts to companies that use them for research. The lobby money paid by Planned Parenthood has to be in the millions. Congressional leaders most likely profit from this effort. They can’t pocket the money but they can fill campaign funds. To me the act of tearing apart the body of an unborn and then selling the raw parts to someone else is an immoral act compounding the immorality of the abortion itself. I have a relative who lost two pregnancies at seven months. She experienced the same grief as when she had lost her mother. The idea of her selling her baby’s body to be chopped up for experimentation was unthinkable.

Looking at the subject from the opposite end of life, what happens if a nurse is caught pulling the plug on the respirator of a critically ill person who is one hundred years old? Now we have the issue of euthanasia to deal with. Is this not the same argument as abortion? in reverse? What if I want to live even if it costs a million dollars a day to keep me alive and I only have twenty dollars left in my bank account. Who will decide my right to life? This is called mercy killing, and the perpetrators will most likely get punished by authorities.

Perhaps women and the men who impregnate them and then have abortions should pay with jail time. Would they change their minds about having sex which may lead to an unwanted pregnancy? I doubt it very much.

Finally, I want to say that abortion probably dates back to the time of Adam and Eve. It will be with us as long as there are humans on this planet, and the arguments pro and con will never cease.

All Lives Matter

Yes, I know the title is a statement meant to incite a riot. I have my own opinions about the Black Lives Matter movement but have refrained from exposing them until now. Black Lives Matter is nothing more that a front for a threat to the sanctity of America and the beliefs that we hold dear. Having been born in an age when the communists were expanding to take over the world much the same as Muslims are today, it is easy for me to spot groups like BLM. Black Lives Don’t Matter would be a more appropriate name for the group.

Here is how I think about BLM.

  1. I believe the USA would be in a much more racially united if we had not allowed nineteen millions black babies to be aborted over the past thirty years. Think how many of those kids might have grown up to make a difference? How many genius kids did we slaughter ? How many artists, scientists, preachers, teachers, etc. did we prevent from happening? We will never know, but if BLM really meant something they would put abortion as the highest priority on their list of things to protest. Lastly, think about how many fewer immigrants we would need to allow into the country to fill jobs that no one wants to do.

2. I believe that the USA would be much more racially united if we didn’t have more than forty-five nationally recognized African America gangs in America. Most of them providing father figures for underprivileged boys who join the gangs. They are fatherless because of our effort to make a Great Society. Lets just say the Great Society has failed. BLM should be protesting its failures.

I believe the USA would be much more racially united if blacks would refrain from killing each other. More than 3000 murders of black people are killed by black people every year. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but over thirty years that is 60,000 people. Why doesn’t BLM take offense to that?

3. I believe that the USA would be a less racially divided if the diseases that rack blacks over whites were leveled off. Why do blacks have more deaths from Lung disease, Heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, asthma, and on and on? If BLM was truly what their name implies they would be directing the millions of dollars they get from George Soros and the Ford Foundation toward changing the outcome of disease in the black community. They would certainly save a hell of a lot of more people than they do by picking on the police.

I believe the literal meaning of black lives matter, not just the random killing of a black man by a rogue policeman during an arrest.

I Believe that the BLM movement is a communist front organization. In my generation a front is the face page of an organization that is different once you turn the page. In this case the front is “Black Lives Matter” a very civil sounding humanitarian cause, what is it really?

“Black Lives Matter is a decentralized movement in the United States advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against African-American people. Wikipedia

Who founded the group and why?

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors said in a newly surfaced video from 2015 that she and her fellow organizers are “trained Marxists” – making clear their movement’s ideological foundation, according to a report.

Cullors, 36, was the protégé of Eric Mann, former agitator of the Weather Underground domestic terror organization, and spent years absorbing the Marxist-Leninist ideology that shaped her worldview, Breitbart News reported

Who funds BLM?

The BLM Movement founders have connections to large “radical Left organizations.”[72] The connection to the Left has provided the BLM Movement with two “big bets” needed to have an influential social movement.

It is estimated that groups associated with the BLM Movement have taken in $133 million since 2013. Organizations associated with liberal billionaire George Soros are said to have provided at least $33 million to various BLM movement groups since 2016.[73]

In 2015, the fundraising club Democracy Alliance, led by liberal donors like George Soros and Taco Bell heir Rob McKay, recommended “its donors step up check writing to a handful of endorsed groups that have supported the Black Lives Matter movement.” [74] BLM Movement groups which received support from the Democracy Alliance were the Black Youth Project 100, the Center for Popular Democracy, the Black Civic Engagement Fund, Color of Change and the Advancement Project.[75]

Additionally, the Ford Foundation and the Borealis Philanthropy created the Black-led Movement Fund,[76]a funding vehicle for the Movement for Black Lives, the coalition of groups responsible for the extremist “Vision 4 Black Lives.”[77] The fund has received “pledges of more than 100 million dollars from liberal foundations and others eager to contribute.”

The name cited in the article above, George Soros, is a known organizer bent on taking down America. He was born in Hungary as a Jew. During WWII he denounced his Judaism to belong to the Nazi party where they used him to seek out jews in hiding for execution during the holocaust. He later made a fortune by manipulating currencies of countries. Although he is a citizen of the USA, his allegiance to the country is questionable. He has funded over two hundred organizations with names like ACLU, Open Societies Foundation, Media Matters, Planned Parenthood, etc, the list goes on and on.

Why am I disclosing these facts and my opinions on this matter? Because my own sixteen year old grand daughter has been sucked into the BLM protest/ She proudly declares that she marched and waved her hand made sign protesting police brutality along with her friends. I know my grand daughter and what she is thinking. None of what she thinks includes George Soros or the millions of dollars he spends to keep BLM growing in size. What matters to her is the literal meaning of Black Lives Matter. She has been brought up in a loving Christian home and trained in a private parochial school based on Christian principles. Her protest is not political by any means.

In the final analysis, I believe Black Lives Matter as do all lives. The BLM movement is a communist front and a joke perpetrated on America to divide the country.

What peeves me is that the BLM movement and the press that reports its activities as news worthy have pulled my kid into their clandestine movement of dividing America for the purpose of moving the populace toward communism (under the banner of socialism and progressivism) by making them think the issue is police brutality toward blacks (statistics in no- way support such a premise). In the meantime the BLM solution is to eliminate the police altogether to make a happier world. The money cities will save on police protection can be moved toward more social programs benefiting the protesters.

Apple Going the Way of Microsoft

images-7

My experience with personal computers goes back to a machine called the Sinclair. I bought it mail order through Popular Science magazine for seventy dollars as a kit. Needless to say there were no programs written for it, and I had to learn to program in basic to make it do what I wanted. It was fun for a while. I learned that I was lousy at programming, and it was easier to buy canned programs to do work. The company I worked for was slow to get into PC’s, but eventually succumbed to the revolution. They went through several generations of machines before finally settling on the IBM. The logic was that IBM would stay in business longer than any of their competitors. We had a few Apple Macintosh but they fell out of favor because of the limited software availability. Everyone was writing software for the PC. Microsoft won big by providing the operating system, and they are still big.

I bought a used Apple IIe for my son to learn on, and he did well using that. I bought a Dell machine for myself long after the company put one on my desk and forced me into using it. I say forced because I had to learn how a spreadsheet program worked, and the peculiarities of the word processor. Skip to today. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, and finally forced myself to learn Apple Pages. They all do about the same thing except they shuffle the windows and the menus thus forcing a user to learn where everything is. I climbed onto the Pages wagon when I became an Applephite. I own a Mac, a Macbook, and a smart phone. I still have two old Dell laptops for special work only. I have an ancient scanner whose software is only recognized by my oldest laptop.

It took me several years to learn how to use mail merge using Word. I loved it because I could finally send personalized letters to my friends without the letters appearing like form letter ads. The biggest problem I always had with my PC’s was the machine could not keep up with the software. A new version of software often worked well only on the newest largest memory machine. Freeze-up was another problem. My Dell machines froze too often, and unwanted malware caused endless slowdowns. It seemed like all I ever did was spend time waiting, or fixing problems related to security leaks in the operating system. Microsoft sent updates almost daily. Many times when I updated my older programs, they were no longer functional, and fighting viruses became the number one issue requiring my time.

When I switched to the Apple, I chose to avoid firewalls and virus protector programs. My days spent fixing Microsoft related issues were over. The IMac has been in my house for four years, and I have never had a virus. Only recently have I had to reboot the machine. Since the arrival of ICloud, I find myself rebooting more often.

Last Christmas, I wanted to use Pages to make my own Christmas card, and to address envelopes. That is until I realized that Pages no longer has a merge function for envelopes. Evidently Apple believes that the world no longer needs Snail Mail functionality. I worked around the problem by reloading an old version of Pages that still had the mail merge function. This year, I used Microsoft Word. It still works.

More recently, I contracted with my grand-daughter to edit the manuscript of my book. She asked me which program I wanted her to use. I told her that Pages is what I used, and Pages is what it should stay in. She sent me edits in groups of five chapters via email five times and they have been flawless. On the sixth group of chapters I could not open the file. I replied to her that she should resend it because I couldn’t open the manuscript(required index.xml file is missing). She did, the same thing happened. I suspected a snake in the woodpile, and Googled the error code; here is what I found:

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.

Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.

Pages ’09/’08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.

You are alternately opening the wrong versions.

Pages ’09/’08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.

Pages 5/5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.

Pages 5.1 sometimes can not open its own files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.

Pages 5 can open Pages ’09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages ’08 files at all.

Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages ’09 files can not be opened in Pages ’09.

Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.

All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.

Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.

Apple has not only managed to confuse all its users, but also itself.

Note: Apple has removed over 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:

Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages ’09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

******************

I searched my Pages work file for a clue and found the file my Grand-daughter sent. I opened it and it worked. What happened? I looked for my older version of Pages in the Applications file, it is not there anymore. Who made it disappear? Like I said there is a snake in the woodpile.

Apple made a change to Pages without regard to a customer’s usage. In their infinite wisdom to force an electronic vision upon us they created a Microsoft like need for updates. I guess staying ahead of your competition is no longer considered a good thing at Apple, instead they want worms just like their competitors.

Apple has the similar problems with IPhoto, and IMovie. They insist on making their pc’s act like the IPhone.

We the Police

Two minutes of TV news this morning caused my brain to melt and the big idea light to go on. Those of you who read me regularly know that I am a Patriot, and Patriots believe in defense of the US Constitution. Our government has tried its socialist ass off to fail our right to own firearms. They know that three hundred million people with guns would be able to take them down. They also know that we the people are thinking in that direction. There is one giant problem with this premise, i.e. who will lead such a grass-roots effort? Uncle knows that the three hundred million need a trigger. That many people just don’t wake up one morning and decide this is the day I take my country back. The trigger is someone who can organize and lead. Who among us will do that? Any attempt to make this happen will immediately bring uncle to our front door to knock it down.

l.jpg

Uncle also realizes that there is one system in the country that could become the organizing link. The system in place to serve and protect is the police. The police are highly trained and armed in tactics to put down insurrections, robberies, murders, etc. They are nationwide and are a brotherhood who regularly collaborate. Police would be one leadership link needed by we the people to begin a necessary overthrow of a government gone wild. It is hard to imagine that our police would be up to that task when they work with local governments to keep law and order. It is a stretch but possibly one which could work when the time has arrived. This is exactly why I believe Uncle is now demonizing police and wanting to turn them into helpless wusses in carrying out their duties. The TV thing that tips me off is Obama’s latest order to keep military equipment out of the hands of local police departments. O believes putting military equipment into local hands could be used against him. I am one who believes arming local police will work against me, except perhaps in the case I describe above when we will need the police to lead us into action against a government that has forgotten that it is a government for the people, and by the people.

This is the point when I go to say my prayers while waiting for the front door to come flying off its hinges as men dressed in black with full body armor, and pointing AK’s come rushing in to eliminate an old guy exercising his first amendment right.

Rewire Your Brain, It Is As Easy As Riding A Bike.

As easy as riding a bike, you never forget. Most of us learn to ride a bike very young. In my case I was about seven or eight when I borrowed a friends bike and tried it. I had to pull it up next to the curb to get on, and my legs were too short to sit and reach the pedals, but I launched and got the hang of it pretty quick. I have never had a problem until I switched to riding a recumbent. All of a sudden the mechanics were different. I practiced on my driveway making figure eights to develop confidence. I can still ride a diamond frame, but now I fell like planet earth is six  feet below my feet, and the illusion is that I will  fly over the handle bars very easily.

When I saw this video, I freaked. What a crazy thing to do to a bike, and to the rider. Yet, the young many makes a couple of good points with his experiment.  I will take  his word for it, that I couldn’t ride a bike with handle steering reversed.
