The Arrogance of Congress

Imagine every page of the House Bill H.R. 3962 loaded with doublespeak, and references to prior bills, and paragraphs. Each branch leading to a new trap for the American consumer. Each one leading toward a take-over of our liberties. How can our Representatives be so delusional as to think that the contents of this bill are good for their constituents. All they know is what their leadership is telling them, VOTE FOR THE BILL.

My guess is that H.R. 3962 is loaded with perks for congressional leaders, and new ways for Congress to become wealthier off the tax payer. Health Care? There may be a hint of that in there too.

Will the bill create jobs? You bet it will, but they won’t be doctors or nurses, they will be highly paid government  clerks who will interpret the law and decide if you get treatment. I’m positive the law will be loaded with ambiguity, thus giving those clerks more control over you and me with their interpretations. In the meantime, salaries for doctors will be frozen. Their ability to make more money by treating more patients will be removed from their control. They will be given a quota of patients to see. Once they have seen them, they will go fishing.  In the European system, the doctors meet their yearly quotas by hustling in the early part of the year, then they go on vacation for the remainder of the year.

The Democrats invented Medicare back in the nineteen sixties. Since then it has become the standard for health care. A crummy one at that. What amazes me, is that Medicare must be something that only the wealthy get. Otherwise why would it be stripped of five hundred billion dollars from its budget to help pay for HR 3962?  This is clearly another example of the redistribution of wealth. The government is going crazy thinking about how  it will pay for the healthcare of all the baby-boomers coming into the system.  Their answer, redistribute the wealth of the senior health care system  to pay for an even larger system, and ration health care for seniors. Who cares  if seniors die early? Liberals encourage seniors to die early, just as they encourage controlling the population by murdering unborn babies. Medicare has put a monkey wrench into that philosophy by extending life. Therefore, kill Medicare to kill seniors. 

If you are wise, you will get sick in the first six months of the year, and die just before you are ready to retire.

Creating Jobs

Today I listened to BO give a talk in Michigan. He was cheered by a crowd of people whom I suspect were out of work. BO ranted and raved sounding alot like the Reverend Wright. He preached about George Bush’s failure to create jobs. He promised the people of Michigan that he would create jobs for them. Well folks, he’s blowing smoke out his skinny ass. He can no more make jobs than this computer I’m banging on. Oops, I forgot that he can make jobs. He can hire people to work for the government as “Community Organizers.” He can also create a bunch of work administering all the new social programs that his administration plans on instituting. None of these jobs will bring in a single dollar of value to the organization, but they will cost the organization a ton of money.

As BO’s wealth redistribution program dries up the rich, most real jobs will be lost. BO will replace them with organizer positions. Eventually, everyone will be an organizer. Where will the organization get money to pay for us? There will be no real value generated because the “organizers,” won’t have any initiative to work. None of the organizers  will be generating goods and services that could make our lives better. What will happen to all the sales people, medical personnel, engineers, computer programmers, etc? We will not have an incentive to work because we will be so busy organizing each other. We’ll spend our energy trying  to squeeze more benefit from the organization, there will be no money to pay us, but we won’t need pay because organizers working for the organization will be taken care of. If we want something, we’ll just go stand in line and wait for it. If we chose to want a better life, we’ll have to chose to live in another country. We will be too busy trying to squeeze more juice out of the lemon, but the lemon is dry.

The plain and simple fact is people and companies become wealthy by working hard and using their brains for the better good. We need the rich. Without them there is no real economy. The rich are the ones who take chances and invest their money at great risk. Their goal is to make life better with their products and services. The more tax they pay, the less money they have to invest. It is their investment that creates jobs, not BO or any other politician. Contrary to BO’s falacious doctrine, it is the free enterprise system that makes the world go around.

Many countries have adopted socialism as a philosophy. Among them  CUBA, the fomer USSR, and North Korea. Ask their citizens how they like it. Have you ever seen videos of CUBA? Watch for their cars, nearly all of them are nineteen fifties vintage. Why?

A Heart Beat Away!

To all my Democratic friends in the USA. There is a political system that combines and defines all the dreams of the great society you are trying to establish for us. It has universal healthcare, jobs for everyone, allows abortion, eliminates God from everything, and taxes everyone uniformly. The system is called “Communism.”
Electing McCain brings Sarah Palin a heart beat away from the presidency, but voting for Mr. Liberal brings us a heart beat away from Communism.

Lunatics Strike

Lunatics! Machinsts at Boeing going on strike at a time when great jobs are at a premium.  The machinist union is working over time to send another twenty thousand of their precious few jobs to China. When will these guys wake up? Strikes do work, but after a strike, a wise employer will work diligently to change the company so a strike will not cripple them again. I’ve seen it happen.

I have personally traveled to the far east to seek out machine shops with low costs. I expected to see crude, worn out machines, and many people using hand tools to “carve” the steel. Was I shocked. I saw first class shops with state of the art CNC machining centers being programmed by young well trained machinists. To make matters worse, these trained machinists worked for one tenth the wages of our machinists at home. The quality of their work is outstanding. What was lacking was our ability to spec out a part. If not spelled out, the Chinese take shortcuts we would never dream of taking.

The workers of Boeing are most likely going to vote for a man who promises to create five million new jobs. The government can’t really create a damn thing but another opening in a government office, so why would anyone of sound mind jeopordize a fantastic job. Trust me, once these jobs leave the country, they’re not coming back. Only business can create meaningful  jobs. Yet we work hard to destroy the engine that creates the positions we sorely desire and pine to have back. 

Go for it guys, then cry about all the jobs leaving the country, and be sure to blame the government for it.
