Don’t Mess with Texas!

This young Lady has got it right!!!“IF YOU CAN’T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER,YOU’VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM”

WRITTEN BY A 21 YEAR OLD FEMALE     Wow, this girl has a great plan!  Love the last thing she would do the best. This was written by a 21 yr old female who gets it.  It’s her future she’s worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big  government state that she’s being forced to live in!  These solutions are  just common sense in her opinion. This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX , Nov 18, 2011PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans,  blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want  steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use  drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.Put me in charge of government housing.  Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be  inventoried.  If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your  own place. In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job.  It may be cleaning the roadways  of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you.  We  will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo  and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary.  If you want our money, accept our rules.  Before you  say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider  that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing  absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices.  The current system  rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE!  Yes,  that is correct.  For you to vote would be a conflict of interest.  You will  voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t  welfare check.  If you want to vote, then get a job.

Cut 1.5 Trillion From Federal Budget in Ten Minutes

My Flag Flies Every Day

Watch this video for a very brief and concise plan to cut Federal Spending by 1.5 trillion in ten years.. This task took the 535 several weeks to decide they could not do it. Amazingly, not  a single social program was touched. So what is our problem? Maybe the 535 should be impeached for failure to do the job.

Who Cares About Jobs?

A good friend handed me a booklet titled “Breaking the System, Obama’s Strategy for Change,” authored by David Horowitz, and Liz Blaine. It took all of ten minutes to read the informative, but scary facts.  Basically, the author describes how the Cloward-Piven theory of overloading the welfare system is actually working. Blaine makes numerous references on how Barack Obama is using the principles to transform America.

I became exposed to the Cloward-Piven principle in July, 2009 when I wrote my piece titled Radical Overload.

The principle is so simple, yet seems to be so effective in heading us toward total government control. By itself, it is merely a strategy. What has made it evil are leaders with names like Clinton, and  Obama who embrace it. How can we be so stupid as a nation as to allow ourselves to be duped into letting a choker-leash be put around our necks?

I thought about current events and came to realize that Barack Obama is not really interested in creating jobs, or fixing the economy. He is smart enough to know that nothing the government has ever done to fix the economy has worked. The economy corrects itself with time. Meanwhile, he uses the high unemployment rates and the lousy business climate to his advantage. By extending unemployment benefits, he is training millions of new people to depend on the government and ultimately onto the welfare rolls. It is helping him transform the country toward socialism under the cover of helping those without jobs. As he soulfully asks conservatives if they are willing to let millions of unemployed go hungry, he has been busy regulating business. The new rules make it harder for business to turn things around. He has also used the economy and the use of the word ‘jobs’ to hide the fact that he has quietly refunded ACORN, an instrument of his transformation.

The president is resistant to fix the illegal immigration problem because he wants the flood of illegals to overload government agencies. Anything that overloads the system is a step toward his objective of total government control. Do you realize that the motor-voter law allows one to register to vote when he gets his driver’s license? Has anyone ever asked you to show proof of citizenship when you apply for a driver’s license?  This slick little loop-hole allows any illegal who can get a driver’s license to get a ticket to vote too. Doesn’t that right belong to legal citizens only?

Obama has left Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac unregulated and untouched. WHY? Because he needs them to continue overloading the system. None of our elected representatives will take responsibility for the housing bubble, but it is they who created the conditions and encouraged banks to make sub-prime loans. They will argue that they didn’t have anything to do with making bad loans, but didn’t our presidents and our representatives pass and sign into law the Community Reinvestment Act? Does that count for anything? Our reps basically underwrote every bad loan without any legislation and authorization to do so. By the way, ACORN played a big role in pressuring banks to make sub-prime loans alongside our leaders.

What will happen if the country goes bankrupt, and millions more are dependent on the system? If the government has no money, they begin printing dollars. The flood of extra cash devalues the dollar and puts a burden on all of us. Think about paying ten dollars, or more, for a loaf of bread, or a gallon of milk. Those commodities did not become more valuable, but your money has lost its value and it takes more dollars to buy the necessities. Seniors living on a fixed income will be the first to suffer. Next, will be those with low paying jobs. Eventually, even those who make big money will live the life of the social utopian.

When the government has printed so many dollars that cash is virtually worthless, how will it continue to finance its debt?  They probably won’t worry about paying the debt, but they will have 400,000,000 people to take care of. A lot of them are fat-cat-government-workers whom they will care for before they worry about us. Where will they get the money? Tax the rich. The rich will pay taxes paid with worthless money. Does that work?

It is my guess that Uncle will look at your nest egg. It could be your 401K, but by this time it has probably evaporated. No, they won’t want worthless money or paper vehicles like stocks and bonds, they will go after real things like buildings, land, resources, businesses, banks, factories, oil companies, etc. At this point we have entered the realm of marxist-socialism and Uncle owns your soul.

Read the booklet titled “Breaking the System, Obama’s Strategy for Change,” by David Horowitz and Liz Blaine. Click on the link, you can download the entire twenty page booklet.

After you read it, tell me if you are not convinced that Obama’s transformation of America is not happening, and that it is not based on the marxist Cloward-Piven strategy.

Better yet, tell me if you want to live in a marxist country.

How the Garden Has Taught Me Conservatism

One of my passions is bird watching. I love to see and identify birds in my yard. I do not go to the woods, or to exotic places to watch, I watch from my kitchen table. The trick is to attract a large variety of birds. There are several ways to do this. One way is to create an environment that is conducive to birds. Plantings of trees, shrubs, flowers, and a water feature all add to the formula. The biggest trick of all is bird feeding.  Free easy to get food does it every time.

The problem with providing free, easy to get food is that soon, the feeders are empty, that necessitates constant maintenance, and considerable cost. If the free food secret stayed with pretty birds, it would not be too bad. What happens though is that the illegal aliens arrive to take advantage. The less colorful and common bird’s will crowd out the colorful birds. Soon, animals of many species join in the fest. Everyone loves a free meal. Squirrels, raccoons, possum, rabbits, deer, you name it, if it lives around here it comes to the feeder.

Another thing I have observed is that the free food factor attracts a single species of bird more than others do. The English House Sparrow is the most common visitor. It is not one, but many. I see as many as six of them perched on a feeder; gorging themselves. When I take a walk around the house, a flock of sparrows will flee from the feeder as I approach.

So often, I tell myself, “This is just like a welfare program.” If I stop, the birds go away, and find natural food sources. When I feed, they all come to take advantage of the entitlement. Am I wrong to train these creatures to accept the handout? Would I better serve God’s creatures by ignoring them to find food on their own?

Yesterday, I spent considerable time pulling thistle from my flowerbed. The sweat and effort was of my own doing. By providing thistle seed for the goldfinches, I am guilty of spreading the weed all through the yard. It happens two ways. One is by bird droppings, and the other is by spillage from the feeder. Thistle is a nasty weed whose roots spread horizontally, and send shoots up every six inches. Pulling thistle only brings it back with a vengeance. The broken roots sprout new plants almost immediately.

I wonder what damage I do by feeding birds while they raise their young. I often see a mother bird placing seed into the mouth of a fledgling near the feeder. What if the parent never teaches the fledgling to seek natural sources of food? What if the fledge relies entirely on my source? Will he survive, or will he require a feeder for the remainder of his life?

Gardeners are never satisfied with the natural environment of a location. Here in Illinois, we live on a prairie. A prairie habitat is prolific with perennial plants that most gardeners abhor. Yet, when we view a prairie in its natural splendor, it is beautiful. Have you ever seen a field of Queen Anne’s lace in bloom? It is absolutely- gorgeous. The same is true of a field of yellow dandelions. A gardener will attack both of these flowers vigorously. He wants to improve on nature to appease his own sensibilities. He wants color, texture, and order. He wants plant material that will not overtake the plants he has imported, and placed into his canvas. Is not that what we do as socialists? We are never happy with man’s plight in a natural form. We are always looking for a way to improve someone else’s life. In the process, we screw up the natural order of things. We feel sorry for those who cannot provide for themselves, and provide. The result is that others see what we provide, and find the loophole that allows them to ride free too.

Program after program designed to do humankind some good become nightmares. Providing free breakfast and lunch for poor kids at school has led to obesity. Now we need a program to eliminate obesity. Instead of finding the root cause of a kid’s starvation, we provide. It is the socialist way. Promoting abortion, and forms of birth control to keep the population of poor people down, has led to a loss of population. So much so, that we now need to allow unlimited immigration to keep our culture alive. Tampering with nature by inventing an endless intrusion of improvements only makes the world a lousier place to live.

What does this have to do with the garden and conservatism? I have learned that by trying to make my garden a canvas of color, scent, and sound that I am upsetting the natural order. Every plant out of its natural place comes with a cost. Every new species, brings a new predator, be it a bug or animal. Every attempt to make a beautiful environment is at a great expense of time, energy, and cost. If I were content to live in the environment that is natural to my spot on this earth, my life would be much easier, simpler, and less expensive.

Three Stages of Obamacare

The three stages of Obama care are Abortion, Regular Care, and End of Life.  Here is the way I see it.

STAGE 1

Why is abortion so important to the government? Each child born into a welfare family receives aid. In my home state of Illinois, the average payment to a family is $401.00 per month. If the aid ends when a kid turns eighteen, he will have been paid $86,616.00 over his lifetime.  There are 1.3 million abortions in the USA each year. Let us assume that ten percent of them are welfare recipients. The total cost to the government using the average cost of $86,616 per child is 11.2 billion dollars.  It is beginning to sound like some serious money.

STAGE 2

Money spent on health care is one sixth of the total economy. My math calculates that to be 2.3 trillion dollars. If I spread that number over our total population, it translates to $8461.00 per every insured person in the country.  Now, let us add the thirty million uninsured into the same calculation, the number drops to $7778.00 per insured person.   That is a reduction of ten percent. Ten percent less paid to medical suppliers. What that means to me is that my doctor will have to recommend lower cost treatments to diagnose my situation. For instance, it may mean an x-ray instead of an MRI. The two are as different as comparing a black and white TV to a High Definition Digital TV. Which test do you think will be able to help your doctor find a problem?

STAGE 3

End of life situations can be ugly. None of us wants to die, but we do. The cost of keeping a very sick person alive can be devastating. My own experience with Barbara is that it cost well over five hundred thousand dollars to keep her alive for two years.  I call it dying ugly. Each year 2.4 million people die in the USA.  Let us assume that ten percent die ugly like my Barb. The cost comes to 121 billion dollars. The bottom line is that death panels make sense to Uncle.

Final argument

Medicare became a law in 1965. The law made a lot of sense, and was a bi-partisan effort. The plan is forty-five years old this year. It is bankrupt. Why is that?  Our leaders have piggy backed more recipients into the system over the years. The baby boomers who are coming online have overloaded the system.  The administration has had forty-five years to improve and fix Medicare. Even worse, they have had over seventy years to fix the postal service, over thirty years to reduce our dependency on foreign oil, and the list keeps going. Obama wants us to believe that he can perform a miracle and fix health care in a single year.  The bill will require a building the size of ten Pentagons to staff with people who will finally read, interpret, and write the final rules.

In the infinite wisdom of our President, he will remove $500 billion dollars from Medicare to fund the new Obama care.   Medicare will go broke within a year or two.  All of us who are retired will certainly be looking into the eye of a death panel. Many of us will recall watching the final moments of Edward G. Robinson as the panel euthanized him in the movie Soylent Green.

Yes, there is a great need for health care reform. Obama care is not it, yet he pressures us to love it now, or the country faces certain disaster. I happen to believe that we will profit by defeating Obama care now, and by revising the system in a rational way.

Put me on the job. I will hire a bunch of engineers who know how to solve problems and we will design a system that will work, and the country will love.
