TAXERY

Imagine a life where you wake up in the morning, swallow a quick piece of bread and go to work. The commute is easy because your job is at the place you live. You spend twelve to sixteen hours a day performing your duties. For this, your employer pays you with meals and a place to sleep. You do not have days off. It is like being retired except for the part about working sixteen hours a day.  Your employer treats you like an object, property. That is because you are. He bought you on e-bay.  If you are lucky enough to have kids, you will raise them in between chores for the master. When your child is ten, the master will sell him or put him to work too.

Your future is hard to imagine, especially now that you have free health care. It is uncertain because you have not felt the pressure of rising prices, and increased taxes yet. One good thing though, you do have free health care, that is four years from now. You will not pay higher income taxes, because the One promised he would not tax anyone making less than two hundred thousand dollars a year, and you will have free health care too.

The new taxes come in the form of local sales taxes, and higher prices. As the fat cat company you work for, begins to pay higher taxes it charges more for its goods.  He passes the cost to you to pay for your free health care. The One charged the state you live in with the responsibility to enroll all the uninsured with free health care.  The One did not provide the means for your state to pay for it. Therefore, the state increase taxes to give you free health care.

     “You are wrong,” you argue.

“Yes I am,” I reply.  The reason is that you have a job. If you do not have insurance through your job, the One made you buy an insurance policy.  Your health care is not free, unless you are unemployed.

One day you go to work and get a letter from your boss. It says that the part you pay for insurance has increased. Why? Because the fat cat company cannot make money and pay for free health care too.

“But it isn’t free I pay for it.”

Taxes eat into the money you bring home, and to save you dump the fat-cat company’s insurance plan. You enroll in the government run plan.  My friend, you have just sold your body to the government.  Now the One has total control over your body, mind and soul.

Taxery is the same as slavery. The difference is that under slavery another human being owned your ass. Under Taxery, the government owns you.

Black Mamba

I got the inspiration for my latest cartoon from an old saying that I’ve heard since childhood; “he speaks with a forked tongue.” I was researching serpents with forked tongues, and came across the description of the “Black Mamba.” This is it! I said to myself. This serpent describes exactly what I want to convey to my readers. The Black Mamba is from Africa. It is the deadliest snake in the world, and in a single bite he can inject enough venom to kill twenty adult humans. The symbology was there.

Our current leader has African roots, and he is changing the country in a way that will kill many of us with a single law sold under the guise of improving the world. His message is two-faced; he speaks with a forked tongue. On one side he sells the cool aide to the masses that they are underprivileged. They need government health care. From the other side of his mouth he preaches that the seniors have too much health care, and need to give it up to finance the needy.

Well, I’m  here to tell you that Medicare was an invention of  Lyndon Baines Johnson, a democrat president that wanted to have as his legacy to be the great benefactor of seniors in the country. He sold it to us by convincing us that it was “insurance.”  That is why we pay into it. If it’s insurance, why is it always going broke, and why is it seen as the current nemesis entitlement?

Our new president wants his legacy to be that he saved mankind by giving them free health care. He is proposing to finance the plan with funds from Medicare. He does this at the time when seventy-six million baby boomers are joining the system. Does that make any sense to you? He says we won’t lose anything. In my mind, my doctor just took on a whole bunch of new patients. Now, when I call for an appointment, it won’t be in three weeks, it will be in three months. That is, if he still accepts me as his patient. At his current patient load I am lucky to see him for five minutes because he is running so far behind. His argument is that he gives his time to the really needy patients.

I can’t wait for the improvements to begin under the new socialized- liberal- progressive health care reform to kick in. How about you?

Let’s Have Some Competition

One of the arguments, I have heard about why we need big government run health care reform is that the evil insurance companies need some competition. Why is it that the insurance companies are restricted to practice in a specific state? Wouldn’t it make sense that the private sector would compete vigorously if they were allowed to?

My guess is that there have been problems with insurance claims in each state. Our law makers, in their infinite wisdom, and their drive to get re-elected, proposed new rules to protect us from those evil insurers. The result, fifty states with fifty different sets of rules about  how to run an insurance company. There went the competition between states.

If  uncle is really serious about health care reform, he would set up some simple standards for heath care insurance, similar to those used by Medicare supplements.  Why is it necessary to set up a totally unfair government run insurance company to compete against the private sector, when a simple set of standards would be enough?

Let's Play By My Rules

They Just Don’t Get It.(Edited)

My Flag Flies Everyday

My Flag Flies Everyday

Well I spoiled the day early by watching a video of my beloved ass kissing Senator Dickie Durbin blow acrid fumes out of his communication port.  Now, I will have to work overtime to restore my usual positive smiling grumpy self.

Durbin is warning his Senatorial colleagues not to allow themselves to be drawn into a sucker punch by the protesters at the town hall meetings. He claims the meetings  are loaded with insurance industry agitators. He just showed how out of touch with the constituency this guy and his colleagues are. I have been to three Tea Party Day events, and I can swear that the only people attending are genuine working  folks who are pissed off by the jerks we employ to represent us. Our representatives don’t listen, they spend our money like it is their mandate, and they think we have an unlimited well from which we draw our cash.  The Tea Party people also believe very strongly in a document called the “Constitution.”

In the meantime, our representatives work their one hundred and fifty days, and complain about working overtime. They vote themselves raises when the rest of us are taking pay cuts to survive. They give themselves a gold plated pension and health care plan for life.  The audacity of their arrogance to  get upset because we balk at their snake oil rhetoric  on the need for rationing health care, or their  advice on end of life decisions. Excuse me, but I already have all of my health care mandates and powers of attorney designated. I didn’t need a trillion dollar plan to make me do it.

Another former senator has called the protestors at the town hall meeting an unruly angry mob; an embarrassment to the United States.  Again, they fail to see the relevancy of what they are witnessing. Yes, we are an angry bunch, but why? Who is the real embarrassment to the country? Not the people who populate it, rather the ivory tower bunch who are  destroying  it.

Here is a simple solution to the health care problem as proposed by some doctors in Joliet.

Most people who are employed, and have health care insurance from the private sector have a lifetime limit of one million dollars in benefits. The USA has forty seven million people without health insurance. Let the government go to the private sector, and buy these uninsured a policy with a million dollar limit like the rest of us have.

A simple idea like that would stimulate the economy through the insurance companies. It evens everyone by giving them health insurance.  Why won’t it work? It won’t work because of the following reasons:

1. There is no money in it for our representatives to graft

2. There is no opportunity by the representatives to control our liberty, instead it gives us freedom.

3. It is too simple an idea for the complex liberal mind to comprehend.

4. The government could not grow with megalithic proportions.

5. What would we do with all the surplus taxes coming in? (Suggestion, pay off the deficit)

6. Our socialist leaders could not buy the votes they need to get into office.

7. A simple solution, such as proposed, would eliminate the army of legislative lawyers who write thousand page bills that take an army of lawyers to read and interpret.

8. A simple solution would be the  real change we could believe in.

9. A solution proposed by doctors is not acceptable. They can’t be smarter than our mind clogged representatives.

10. Big Brother would have to brainwash another generation before they lead us into a dictatorship.

A Health Care Prediction

Alot of speculation is taking  place on the news about the new health care bill. First of all, why the rush? Everyone seems to want universal health care, so a good proposal should pass easily. I happen to believe the rush to get it done has nothing to do with health care. It has to do with power grabbing. Strike while the iron is hot. No doubt POTUS will use the economy as the reason there is a need for speed.  Just where is all this cost coming from? The government pays Medicare, and Medicaid.  The first is for old guys like me, the second is for someone one who is disabled or on welfare. Well we all know that Medicare is going broke, even though it is a so called insurance plan that we pay into.  At the moment my personal health isn’t expensive, but I was married to a lady who had a heart attack and she turned into an expensive case.

I don’t believe for one minute that the cost of healthcare is such a drain on the government. If it is, it is their own damn fault for signing  so many people onto the Medicaid part of it.

Another thing, if Medicare is going broke with only a small portion of the population eligible, then  how in the world will POTUS pay to care for the entire population?

If POTUS is so hot to have universal health care, pass a bill that requires all citizens to have it, period. That’s what most states are doing with car insurance. If you get caught driving without it,  you go to court or you go to jail. The same can be done for health care. Show up at a doctor or the ER without an insurance card and they jail you after they treat you.

In the meantime, my vision for what will happen on Obama-Care is in the following cartoon. Scary hilarious isn’t it?
