Season’s Greetings
T’was the night before elections,
And all thru’ the town,
Tempers were flaring
Emotions ran up and down.
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap,
Had  shut off the TV,
tired of political crap. When all of a sudden,
There arose such a  noise,
I peered out my window,
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet,
They wanted my pay
To hand out to others
Who had not worked a day!He snatched up my money,
And quick as a wink,
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink.

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart.
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!

‘On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, on Pelosi’
He screamed at the pairs!

They took off for his cause,
And as they flew out of sight,
I heard him laugh at a nation
Who wouldn’t stand up and fight!

So I leave you to think on this one final  note…
IF YOU DON’T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA, OUR ONLY HOPE….. WAVE OUR FLAG HIGH!!!

Mr. President I Agree With You, Well Almost

Joseph Stalin

A few weeks ago, Obama uttered a phrase that has resonated with the entrepreneurial world, “You didn’t build that.” I take issue with his comment and I defend the people of the world who work day and night to make their business successful.

Obama did say something sensible in the same speech, “Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.” [Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/07/15/obama-dashes-american-dream-suggests-nobody-achieves-success-alone/#ixzz24lTWtdvE“]

I agree with his statement 100 percent, there are millions of hard-working people out there, but the fact remains that a majority of them do not provide jobs to other people. Does that mean to imply those who own businesses work harder than others? No it does not. “Well, what do you mean Grumpa Joe?”

Let me tell you a personal story. All my working life I wanted to be my own boss. I wanted to be in business for myself. The lure of independence and rich rewards appealed to me. I had many ideas for businesses and products that would make me rich. The ideas were endless, and many of them became successful by others. Those success stories told me that my instincts were correct, and my ideas were sound, but I lacked one key element of the success story; balls. To put it more politely, I lacked courage.

The risks of losing everything I worked for frightened the heck out of me. All of my ideas required investment of time, energy, and money. I had the energy, but since I had a job and needed to work I lacked the time and the money. Yes, I could have borrowed money to get started, but that would have meant putting my house up as collateral. I would not jeopardize losing my family home. My family is too important to me. I would not make my wife go to work to put food on the table so I could spend everything we owned on my dream.

In retrospect, I did the right thing. My tolerance for risk could not handle starting a business. Yet, there are thousands of people who can handle the risk and think only about a positive outcome. Then there are those who think like me, and see the glass half empty.

Yes Mr. President, “there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there,” and I am one of them, so were my parents. Does that give me a right to take from those who do take the risks? Does my hard work entitle me to a fair share of  the entrepreneur’s estate? My fair share is the salary I get for the work I produce for the entrepreneur. He hired me because I had the training, experience, and talent he needed to support his business. Did the government give him that?  My boss had the wisdom to see in me a person of value, and he took a risk by hiring me. I chose to become an engineer. Payment for my schooling came from my savings, my parents, and a scholarship. I went to private elementary school, high school , and a private college before I finished in a public university. My story is typical of my generation, and it didn’t involve help from the government. Yes, I traveled the roads and the sidewalks of the towns I lived in, but they were provided because people need them in general. The tax payer forces government to make improvements by referendum.

I love to talk about my employer because he is a man who did have the courage to invest it all. As a young engineer he saw the need for a product that could help electricians route wires in a more productive way. He designed the product, and enlisted a friend who knew how to extrude plastic to make it for him. He and his wife worked evenings in the basement of their home to make accessories for the product. He enlisted agents to sell for him. Today, the company employs thousands of people worldwide to produce a huge catalog of products for the electrical industry. Did the US government help him build his business? Not a chance. Did the government provide infra-structure which the company uses? Yes, but only after the need for same justified an expenditure. Did  the government provide him with teachers? Not really, the law demands that all children go to school until they are sixteen. Did that make them so educated that they were useful workers? Not really. We found ourselves teaching entry-level workers how to read and do arithmetic before they could work in the factory without endangering themselves. Is that what you mean, that you provided an inferior education requiring private sector remediation Mr. President?

Yes Mr. President, there are a bunch of hard-working people out there and many of them are exceptional. They stand above the others in the way they take risks, and the way they move forward. Then, there are guys like me, who work very hard , but lack the courage to make it on their own. We need the exceptional ones. Thank God for them because they provide the rest of us with a living.

The problem I see with philosophy of equal outcomes for everyone is that it deliberately kills the idea of exceptionalism. It believes the only exceptional people are those employed by big government.

Joseph StalinKim Il SungMao Tse-tungHo Chi Minh and Pol Pot forced equal outcomes on their people and in the process killed up to sixty-million non-compliant citizens. Adolph Hitler’s brand of socialism eliminated six million people who did not fit the Socialist profile of the master race.

It took the blood of exceptional nations to slow the Communist movement. With Obama’s leadership America is allowing itself to be overtaken by the same stupid ideology from within.

The next time you hear President Obama shout that the Republicans are selling tired old ideas that don’t work (Capitalism), think about the sixty million people who refused to listen to the vibrant new ideas of Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Kim Il Sung, Mao Tse-tung, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot and other lesser  known implementors of the Hope and Change ideas of the Socialist movement.

Sewer Rats United

Rat!

After the rant I posted yesterday, I decided to form a new organization “Sewer Rats United of America (SRUA),” or maybe it should be “United Sewer Rats of America (USRA),”  or maybe the “Tea Party Sewer Rats United (TPSRU).”  Actually, after seeing all that in print I think “Sewer Rats United (SRU)” is the best and easiest to remember. At my age it can’t be too complicated or I’ll forget it for sure.

“Sewer Rats United ” dedicates itself to flushing the offal out of the political system. We will work underground in the Capitol sewers of America in the dark of night to be invisible to the mortal enemy, the money-grabbing, power-hungry politician.

Our weapon will be words. Yes, words of expose.  Our secret weapon is the Vote.  Our atomic weapon is grass roots organizing of our friends and neighbors.

Membership is limited to Tea Party Patriots i.e. Sewer Rats who believe in GOD, the Constitution, capitalism, and a strong National Defense. If you lack any of the four beliefs, the Sewer Rats United is not for you.

Membership demands your time, talent, and effort to convince fellow Americans that real change, defined as change to the way Washington works, not, undefined change that infers a move toward socialism. Sewer Rat United change is the elimination of big money lobbyists who buy and control the political scum of Congress. SRU change also includes a complete overhaul of the tax code to one that is fair to all Americans. One that includes even those who do not now pay taxes. Even the most destitute must pay something for the privilege of living in the greatest country on earth.

Sewer Rats United demands complete allegiance to the cause, and will not tolerate flip-flopping or wishy-washy performance by members. Only complete annihilation of all socialist trends, ideas, factions, movements, and political scum constitutes victory.

Your job, if you choose to accept it, will be to fight to the death as a soldier-sewer rat in the cause of reclaiming the greatest country on earth and to reestablishing capitalism as the greatest economic system known to raise the poor from the plight of the socialist nanny-state.

The initiation fee is $1000.00, monthly dues are $100. Make checks payable to “Grumpa Joe, Sewer Rat in Charge”.

Do You Eradicate a Disease, or Just Push It Back?

Some of my friends tell me they tire of hearing all the bickering going on about the debt ceiling, withholding taxes, and general business in Washington. They are sick of hearing the barrage of news from the opposite ends of the political spectrum. They want to see and hear a middle ground. Most of these people are Democrats. They argue with me that the constant bashing of Obama and his minions is forcing them to lean away from the middle toward uber-liberal Left.

I agree about the amount of bashing going on, it isn’t pretty. I absolutely don’t agree that the arguments make me want to lean toward the left, I am the polar opposite. An analogy popped into my tired old brain today, and I must bore you with it.

When dealing with a disease like HIV, small pox, chicken pox, polio, diphtheria, etcetera, the disease fighters do not look for a cure that will allow them to go middle ground. They want to eradicate the disease completely, worldwide. Even Leftists agree with the approach. Disease fighters have a very good track record at eliminating diseases. Small pox is gone, diphtheria is unheard of, polio a memory, and so on. What my argumentative colleagues don’t see is that the political extreme of leftism is a disease. Socialism does not work, yet proponents continue to foist it upon the rest of us. I see socialism as a disease worse than small pox. Eradication from Earth is the only positive cure. Worse yet, Socialism without God is communism, and I am old enough to know what the communists did to Europe after WWII. I still have relatives in former communist countries who live the way they did in 1940. Socialism will set the world population back, or at least freeze it at its current status much like Islam did to the middle east in the 12th century.

I believe that the Obama bashing I, and all the others do is trying to eradicate a disease running its course through humanity. There is no room for a middle ground at this point, the right must push the left back to zero if we are to return to a civilized middle ground that allows rational debate, compromise, and civilized discourse to occur. I also believe that the country is so divided at this point that another civil war, much like the one of the 1860’s, looms ahead as a possible solution.

The 2012 choice will be telling. If the country gives the communist leaning Obama another four years to carry out his brand of change, the United States will die. The USA will be in the history books as another has been super power. On the other hand, if the country elects a true conservative, there is a chance for the complete survival of a society based on a Constitution, a belief in God, the Rule of Law, and Liberty for all.

So all my friends who are sick of the Obama bashing going on by the right leaning Tea-Party people, put your brains into gear  and decide for yourselves what kind of system you want to live under because the 2012 election is about that.

What Makes Obama Tick?

A few years ago I came across a book titled What’s So Great About America.” That title intrigued me. It begged me to find out what it is this author thinks about my country. The author, Dinesh D’Souza, was unknown to me. His name sounded different.  Perhaps, he is a foreigner who would see America from a different perspective.  I read his book and concluded that this man was my hero. Dinesh is a foreigner, but also an American citizen. He immigrated from India, and he does have a different perspective. It is the view of someone who sees America as a place of opportunity.

D’Souza is a conservative, and worked for the Reagan administration as an advisor. He skillfully explains in his book why the muslim world hates America, and thus points out the good things about America. It seems that the Muslims hate us because we have what they dream about, LIBERTY.

My purpose today. is not to review that book, but rather his new book titled “The Roots of Obama’s Rage.”

In this work, D’Souza logically, and skillfully analyzes available data, and also Obama’s own writings. He compares the president’s actions to his words. D’Souza makes a logical analysis of the data to learn what makes Obama tick. He explores several directions before making a final conclusion about Obama’s mindset. He then superimposes Obama’s words to his action and compares these to his conclusion.  The actions and words support D’Souza’s theory one hundred percent thus making it completely plausible.

Throughout the 2008  Presidential  campaign, Obama challenged the Republicans to come up with new ideas to compete with his own new directions. He kept repeating, in a negative way ,”don’t come to me with your tired old ideas that don’t work.” Dinesh D’Souza has unraveled Obama’s vision and has convincingly  revealed that Obama’s ideas are not new. They are based on ideas dating back to the sixteen hundreds, and from his father’s thesis.

Regardless if you are liberal or conservative, if you are curious as to how Obama’s associations affect his thinking, or why he apologizes to foreign powers, or why he is bent on reducing America’s military power, or why he wants to transform America, you will find it in this inspiring analysis by Dinesh D’Souza.
