Why Notre Dame Caved

University presidents try to provide the best education they can for their students. However, I am in a quandary about what experience   Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., president of the University of Notre Dame, is tryng to provide by asking  President of the United States, Barack Obama to speak at this year’s commencement. 

 President Obama is clearly pro-abortion, an idea contrary to Catholic teaching. Perhaps President Jenkin’s is trying to offer his students an opportunity to hear someone who is clearly in favor of abortion argue in favor of murdering new life. Or, perhaps he wants his student body to hear an agent who is anti-religion. Perhaps he is trying to give his students the radical liberal perspective of Barack Obama, after having indoctrinated  them in the principles of conservatism. What ever the reason, it is not rational. I believe Father Jenkins should be fired for inviting Obama to speak. I believe the alumni should hold back donations to hurt the school in the pocket book. However, I believe Obama should speak. He was asked, and he committed to the engagement.

On the other hand, perhaps the reverend Father Jenkins knows something the rest of us do not, such as Obama is…(cartoon.)The Second Coming at Notre Dame

Thieving Radical Hate Monger?

A few years ago I took a course in improving human performance. In that course, the instructor advised that if I wanted to become a leader, that I should hang out with leaders. The principle is a small step toward getting what you want. I would learn valuable lessons in leadership from the associations. I thought about this principle while watching the news last night. One of BO’s spinmasters was accusing Sean Hannity of trying to make BO guilty by association.  It occurred to me that the liberal candidate for president is hanging with some interesting people. First he is using several thieving ex-CEO’s from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to advise him on matters related to the housing crisis. Next, he hangs with a “guy from his neighborhood,” who is a proclaimed non-repentant terrorist. The man clearly hates our country. Let’s not forget his time with Anton Resko, known to seek out corrupt politicians for personal gain. BO has some nefarious real estate dealings with this man. On Sundays, he is known to hang with his good friend Reverend Jeremiah Wright who preaches Black Liberation Theology (translation, hate whitey and the government with all your heart and soul).

WIthin this group of associations there is a thread of continuity; thievery, radicalism, hatred.  BO wants me to believe that his associations with these people have not influenced him in any way. Just where is BO going with all this? Perhaps he wants to be the thieving radical hate monger of the century.

There a few more asscociations that occurred earlier in his life. Like the one with his mother, a known radical thinker, his grandparents, also known to be radical thinkers. Then there is Barack Hussein Obama Senior. BO would like us to think his father abandoned him, but BO-Sr. kept in touch with his son, and BO- Sr. believed in taxing the rich to benefit the poor, or “redistribution of wealth.”

I don’t believe for a moment that the association with his parents didn’t have any influence on his life or his values.

What is scary about his associations, is that the people who are backing him must  be thinking the same way. Why else would they worship him?

What’s the Big Secret?

I have not heard a single word about BO’s college background. Why is he so secretive about this part of his life? Could it be, that he is hiding something that may hurt his chances for election? Where are all the pundits and the press? Why are they not “vetting” this part of his life.

I can imagine a few possibilities, like he was a “D” student, or he got a “free ride” from some mysterious Arab, or he belonged to some “radical student group.” The possibilities are endless. Why doesn’t he end the mystery and let us see his records? What could be so private, or bad in college records that a person would guard them so fanatically?  Don’t we have a right to know what this man’s background is before we chose to elect him to the highest position in the land.?

I still want to hear from some of his classmates. Did he have any  friends at all? Why is it that the editor of the  Harvard Law Review, does not have any editorials? I was president of a small social club and published an article every month. It wasn’t hard to do, so why didn’t he?

Why is the DNC fighting a lawsuit to get a legitimate Certificate of Live Birth? I think BO would be more than happy to open all of these matters unless he has something terrible to hide. Instead he dismisses these questions with a flip, demeaning  attitude of arrogance.

BO cries “Smear” when his opponent brings up his association with friendly neighborhood terrorist Bill Ayres, but he is hiding a part of his life that should be an open book. When have we ever had a candidate who was so private? When we did have candidates who tried to hide things from us, the sleuthing press uncovered their dirt. Why are they not doing their jobs? Are they part of a great conspiracy?

I smell SKUNK in this campaign of a magnitude that has never been seen before on this planet. During the Cold War this effort would have been referred to as a “Front.” That is my opinion, but what do I know? I am only an old man who doesn’t understand the need to change the best, and greatest country in the world.
