Change. Really?

I don’t need to repeat all the quotes from Obama’s speeches on how he was going to change the process. I’m sure you have seen it on the news too many times already.

For those of you who really believed in his message, “can you hear me now?”  The real problem is that the brand of snake oil he fed you was too slippery to notice. Now, you are stuck with a dollar that might be enough to buy a pack of gum. Of course your company will give you  a raise to compensate for the loss of value in the dollar. Then, you  will be making over $250,000.00. Do you realize what that means? You’ll be subjected to the stupid taxes being imposed at a rate faster than a Ferrari on its way to 60 mph.

Bottom line, “hope and change you can believe in” equals paying for all the free stuff you bought with your freedoms.

You will pay more taxes to pay for all the so-called free health care,

Your dollar will buy less because of all the spending he’s done on “free stuff”

You will have fewer decisions to make because some high paid government clerk will be making them for you.

Have a really nice time shoveling  the global warming  falling on  us today.

Stop Making the Problem Worse

My Flag Flies Everyday

Anyone worried about global warming should read the facts spelled out in the following link.

Carbon Dioxide Facts

I can’t add anymore than this:  liberals are worried about global warming to the extent that they are endangering the entire population of the earth. One of the facts  listed on this link, is that we exhale carbon dioxide (CO2 greenhouse gas). Therefore, I suggest that all liberals who support the new cap and tax law as the solution to global warming please stop exhaling. You are contributing to the problem.

Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time the planet earth was covered in ice.  About two hundred years ago, people began to notice strange things around the earth. Boulders the size of a house were found in the middle of fields where there was no rock of the same type. Some how these people began to deduce that the ice field on the mountain pushed the boulder down.  Eventually, more people got on the band wagon and a theory developed about the glacial period.  I refer to it as the Ice Age.  In the two hundred years since the glacial period was discovered, scientists have learned that there have been four ice ages.  They  took place over periods of millions of years, but they did take place. Each time, the ice receded and melted. The last ice age was twenty thousand years ago. The arctic and the antarctic ice caps, and mountain glaciers are the remnants.  Let’s face it, there were no cars or power plants twenty thousand years ago to make all that ice melt, so what made it go away?

Today, we have a giant argument about how our CO2 emissions are causing global warming. True, CO2 does cause global warming, it is one of the mechanisms that made the glacial periods recede? Could it be that we are still in the recession period of the last glacial period? Could it be that all the cars and coal-fired power plants in the world running twenty-four hours a day could not have any effect whatsoever on global warming? Could it be that global warming is merely a natural cycle that the planet earth experiences?  Who has been around for a million years to tell us?

I once visited a great place near Tucson Arizona called the Biosphere 2.

Bio-Sphere 2 was originally designed as an experiment to determine if man could survive in a totally closed cell natural environment. They could not. The property was sold to a University that used the Bio-sphere as a closed environment where they ran full size experiments to measure the effects of  CO2 on the planet. The results were too erratic to continue.

While there, I saw a small-scale experiment which was more controlled. The exhibit was a series of twenty-gallon fish tanks. Each growing corn at different levels of CO2. What I recall is that it took a huge amount of CO2 in the atmosphere to cause plants to grow poorly. In fact, the plants did  better with more CO2. The amount of CO2 plants can handle before it becomes deleterious is huge.

It is clear to me that the current evidence for CO2 emissions causing global warming are irrelevant when compared to the natural dynamics of the solar system, and the cycle of glaciation on planet earth. It is also clear to me that the CO2 content of the atmosphere is still at a level that will help things grow more vigorously. It is also clear to me that the current hysteria about global warming is based on a bunch of questionable data that has now mysteriously disappeared. It is also clear to me that the Cap and Trade system being foisted upon us is still another way for POTUS to grab more control over our lives.

Smokin’ a Joint While Dreaming About Change and Hopium

Wild FireIt had to happen. The liberals are now blaming California wildfires on global warming.  Democratic Representative Linda Sanchez from California has gone on record accusing global warming for the current wildfires raging around Los Angeles. Do all of these people have their head in their ass? Have they ever read a book? Do they really give a shit about the planet earth beyond how it affects their personal welfare? California and wildfires are natural just as California and droughts are natural. If the underbrush is dry, it will burn. Many things can set off a wild fire, global warming might be one of them. It’s my guess that liberals have started more wildfires in California than global warming has or will in the next millennium.

In nineteen thirty-three, John Steinbeck wrote a story called “To A God Unknown.” The location of the story is a beautiful California farm valley, lush and green. As the plot comes to an end, the landscape becomes a barren, parched, dry earth. The valley was experiencing a cycle of drought. Each time the drought came the people had to move out to survive. Was that the result of global warming caused by carbon emissions? If  it was, I doubt it was due to cars and factories in nineteen thirty three. The population of the USA was approximately 120 million people, as compared to the current   315 million.  The number of cars has increased from about ten million in 1933 to  to 245 million in 2009. So what was the cause of wildfires in 1933? Was it methane from cow farts?

Most likely they were caused by liberal democrats smoking a joint in the wilds as they dreamed about change and hopium.

Trash the EPA

If there was ever a reason to reduce the size of government it is the current debate about cow farts. The EPA wants to impose a tax on every cow in the country to reduce the amount of methane they produce. The argument is that methane contributes to global warming. Sun flares do too.  If you think I am kidding go to the cow fart tax website to learn more.

If the EPA had a gram of brain power they would have suggested a tax incentive for farmers that capture the methane. We are looking for alternative sources of energy why not cow farts? We capture methane from land fills, so it is totally rational to believe we could capture the gas escaping a cows ass. Instead of putting farmers out of business with this asinine proposal, the EPA would become the heroes of the energy world.

I think we could save more methane by eliminating the entire EPA. After all, their people fart too. Our congress is also a major gas producer. They regularly spew the most horrific stinking laws, and tax increases. They make a cow’s output more like perfume. The idea of the tax is enough to convince me that the EPA minds are in a state of decay. What I have left out of the equation however, is the input from POTUS.

Obama loves a good cow fart
