“Kill the Republic”

 

      Three cheers! The Democrats created a moment of history. They saved the first black president of the USA from the pits of disgrace: or did they?  I congratulate the five hundred and thirty five for their blatant disregard for the voices of 180 million constituents.  It is clear to me that this group of Congressman does not give a damn about the people who hired them. They have chosen to listen to a higher authority, the president. In this win-lose situation, they flexed muscles they forgot they owned.  They did exercise democrat political tricks learned on the battlefield from the likes of Alinsky, Kennedy, and Daley.  The ends justify the means, and the means is anything that works at the time. Bribery, lies, deceit, airplane rides, all fit the bill.

     With the current economic situation, and a new Great Depression still looming before us, I predict that this new bill will bankrupt the country before Obama Care will take care of a single newly insured person. Do we really think that after collecting a huge pile of money for four years that the 535 will fail temptation to spend it on something else? History is on my side on this point. They will spend it, but not on health care.

     Even if we were to vote them all out of office today, it will take a hundred years to undo the damage perpetrated on us by this act. By that time, the culture of the USA will evolve into a godless social state of twenty first century slaves serving the 535. Will you care?  Will living in the nanny state fill you with rapture? Will you accept the loss of liberty and a life of servitude?

     Congratulations America, you got the change you want to believe in. You will have an opportunity to debate the point with me in the soup lines soon.

     In the near future, a group of people from the United Socialist States of America will draft a new Declaration of Independence. It will begin something like this. . .

Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security. . .

About four months ago, I made up my mind that I should cancel my subscription to AARP.  My reason was that they sounded like they were in the pocket of our beloved president Obama.  I never did cancel.  AARP is supposed to be the voice of the senior citizen. I thought they were my lobbiest in Washington. Wrong. They are another voice for socialism, and the public option health care plan. Over the years they have become an insurance company. Now, they fear for their life. The public option threatens to destroy them and every other insurance company in the country.

Today, I received an e-mail from a friend which contained a copy of a very eloquently voiced letter from a lady who expressed my own concerns.  I don’t want this BLOG to be a medium of passing e-mails, but every once in awhile something really good comes along that needs to be spread. This letter is one of them.

Finally, I’m getting off my ass and will cancel my subscription to AARP right now.  I hope that after you read this letter you feel the same, and act on it the same way.

Great AARP Letter
This letter to the AARP says it all.  It is a must read regardless of your age.  Some people just make sense in what they say.  This lady certainly does.  
This was sent to Mr. Rand who is the Executive Director of AARP
Dear Mr. Rand,
Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. I know it is not what you were looking for, but this is the most honest response I can give you. Our gap in coverage is merely a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith.
While we have proudly maintained our membership for several years and have long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse it’s abdication of our values. Your letter specifically stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours. Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary.  But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government. 
Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy.. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama administration and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there!
We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces whom we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities.
This Presidential Administration scares the living day lights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage, but even more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never in my life endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don’t have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities it requires.
Your website generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? Someone has broken into our ‘house’, invaded our home without our invitation or consent. The President has insisted we keep the perpetrator in comfort and learn the perp language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them..

·         I DON’T choose to educate them.
·         I DON’T choose to medicate them, pay for their food or clothing.
American home invaders get arrested.
Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break & enter to be welcomed? We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current administration.  One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than one which is power driven. We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you.. I am disappointed as hell. I am scared as hell. I am MAD as hell, and I’m NOT gonna take it anymore!

Conflicted Soul

I finally broke down and began reading BO’s life story “Dreams From My Father.” The one thing that becomes very clear to me is that this man has had a very troubled early life. The fact that his mother is white and his father black screwed him up big time. He was raised white, but his soul was black. He wanted to be black.  His mother would have done him a big favor by following the father back to Kenya. His writings are filled with inner turmoil caused by his own belief that he was being rejected by whites. He saw the color attitude throught the eyes of his black classmates. He didn’t see the race difference because his mother and grandparents were white and sheltered him. When he finally learned of his grandmother’s concern about being stalked by a black man he was stunned at her reaction.

BO sought out people throughout his high school years that made him feel normal. Among them a black poet who was a freind of his grandfather’s. The poet, whose name was Frank, was a communist. Throughout high school and his early college days, BO leaned heavily toward the racist poetry of Malcolm X and Marxist teachings.

No doubt, some of this turmoil was brought on by his upbringing in Indonesia. His mother’s second husband  brought them to this country when it was in the aftermath of the overthrow of dictator Sukarno. He witnessed lots of unpleasant things, lots of poverty, lots of turmoil between his mother and her husband. Throughout his life, his black father kept in touch with him and constantly fed him a line about his black heritage and family in Kenya.

BO’s thinking was definitely shaped by inner struggles between his white and black self. His early goal to become an organizer after college pointed at his need to “change” things from the bottom up: it’s his message today.

The man carries a package of guilt about his race. He is clearly a racist, his father was also a racist. His affiliations with Jerimiah Wright, Louis Farakhan, Frank the poet, Ayres, are all the result of this guilt. It is my opinion that he is where he is today because he feels superior to the white race, and would like to punish whites in order to relieve his inner turmoil.  

Is this the kind of conflicted soul we want to lead us?
