Obama’s New Gun Control Tactic

The same old tired ideas that don’t work, TAX, TAX, TAX.

In the finale of Atlas Shrugged, Mr Williams holds John Galt hostage while making it seem he is free. John Galt is the only entrepreneur industrialist that can save the nation. Mr. Williams puts a gun to Galt’s head and asks for Galt’s advice.

The country is out of work, on the verge of bankruptcy, and the people are beginning a revolution; Mr. Williams is desperate for Galt to tell him how to save the economy.

Galt says, “Eliminate regulations and cut taxes.”

Williams answer to Galt’s suggestion, “We can’t do that.”

Obama accuses the Republicans of putting a gun to the head of America. He forgets that a few months ago he rammed Obamacare legislation through Congress with a gun. He had no regard to the voice of the American people on that one.

I am an American, and I say let’s shut the country down. Make the bureaucratic departments and bureaucrats suffer like the private sector jobless for a while.

Obama offers a compromise, cut the defense budget and he will approve. As an American, I say eliminate the Department of Education completely, and I will agree to a small cut in defense.

President Obama stop promoting the tired old ideas of the New Deal that are documented not to work as a solution to this massive mess. It is easier than you think to get out of it.

1. Repeal the housing act that caused the housing bubble.

2. Stop pushing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into giving away money for houses people can’t afford. You haven’t provided a single regulation to these two rogue organizations.

3. Eliminate Capital Gains Taxes.

4. Give small business incentives to build their businesses.

5 Repeal PPACA (Obamacare).

Try these tired old ideas and watch the country come alive again.

Capital Gains What?

The rhetoric in this campaign could only be written by lawyers. We need to listen and understand every word, then read between the lines. I keep hearing that BO wants to limit his taxation to the “very rich.” He openly says there are many companies who are so rich they can afford to give some up for those at the bottom. I got to thinking about his words, and the concepts begin to sink in.

The folks who support BO and who have jobs seem to agree that their employers use them to make their fortunes. These workers have a mentality that somehow, their employer would not be rich if it were not for the sweat of their labor. They revel in the concept of taking it back from the rich. These people resent everything and everyone who has a nickle more than them. What they don’t understand is that the employer pays them a fair market wage for the the fruits of their effort. They also don’t realize that when they go home, the employer is still working to make things happen. Business is a 24/7 operation, and the owners take on a huge responsibility to make it a success.

How does the capital gains tax affect me and you? I fall into the “ninety five percent, or the middle class,” who are supposed to get a tax break in the BO program. I will get that tax break at the expense of a capital gains tax on the wealthiest of companies.  I don’t work anymore, and I live off my 401K, and Social Security. It took my deceased wife and me over forty two years to accumulate the nest egg. We gave up luxuries, spent judiciously, and saved. We invested in the market, and bought into many different companies. Many of my investments are designed for growth so the nest egg keeps up with inflation. When a company does well and expands, or grows, they transfer the growth to the share holders in the form of a capital gain distribution. It is not money, but shares of stock. This is a “capital gain.” At the end of the year, I have to pay a tax on that gain. There have been years, when I had capital gains, and paid a tax, however, the share price of the stock dropped making the value of the gain negative. Uncle Sam took the tax and ran. There was no sympathy toward the stock holder, Even though I was stuck with a stock that was lower in value than before the gain was declared. My 401K depends on capital gains to keep feeding me. I have to sell shares of the funds to get the  money I live on.

All of the people, who have been hypnotised into believing that BO will only tax the rich, are in for a rude awakening.  Any worker who is planning to retire on a 401K plan will be affected by the capital gains tax. Why? because you are investing in the companies that he will tax. All the “boomers” who want to retire and take advantage of their years of labor will be affected too. Companies who pay taxes, pay less dividend and have less money to invest in growth. It is as simple as that; more tax, less growth. More tax, less money in your 401K. More capital gains tax, and the more you pay; the less you have to live on. We are all affected by the capital gains tax, even those of us who are “middle class.” I don’t beleive for a minute that BO doesn’t see that he will burden the retiring baby boomers. He wants it all.

Barack and his liberal cronies love the concept of taking care of the little guy.  He doesn’t believe we are smart enough to care for ourselves.  If BO is really interested in taking care of us, he will abolish his ‘welfare,’ mentality. Karl Marx had a similar idea, and initiated a great ‘experiment” in Europe. Millions were slaughtered to make the idea work. Marxism took everything from the people. The government owned the wealth to take care of the people. The experiment was called “communism.”

I can’t believe the amount of stuff I know about “Joe the Plumber,” in less than a week. The audacity of this working man to ask a question of a candidate. The one question, which was not “vetted,” by the DNC has become an example of how well BO has staged his campaign by carefully writing and rehearsing canned answers. He was asked one question off the script, and blew it big time. He exposed himself. He might as well have dropped his pants. All I can say is this, I’d like to ask BO some questions too, and I’d like his army of investigators to dig dirt on me. I’d welcome spending my entire 401K, or what’s left of it, fighting them in court. It would be like an aircraft carrier fighting a canoe, but I”d go down asking questions the guy won’t answer.

Here are some for starters.  I’m retired living off Social Security, and my 401K. Since you and your democratic friends have destroyed the market with the free housing program, will you eliminate the taxes I pay on Social Security? Don’t tell me that I’m in the 95% of the population that will get your tax cut. I want to hear you say that the SS tax is evil, it always was, and that you will abolish it immediately. Will you abolish the capital gains tax on the few feable stocks that I own in my 401K? Or will you also want that too. Your affinity for giving opportunity to those who have not worked fifty five years to accumulate a 401K is astoundingly stupid and naive.

Every one of the good citizens you so galantly want to help from the bottom up, have the same opportunities afforded to them as has Joe the Plumber. They have the same school system, the same laws, the same environment as all of us. Why do they waste it? Because you and yours choose to raise them in a welfare environment, they have never known anything else. They have no role models to show them how to work. Want to try an experiment? Try paying them for all the children they have “in wedlock.” Try this as a plank in your arsenal, “Give a man a fish, he has one meal. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.”

Let me also ask you about your accusations that John McCain and Sarah Palin don’t argue the “issues.” They do argue issues, they have laid out concrete plans for “Energy Policy, Right to Life, How to fix the Economy, Supreme Court Justice selection, Foreign Affairs, Health Care, and more. The problem is, those big ears of yours are not listening to anything but what you want to hear. If John Mc Cain’s responses are not the same as yours, you fail to hear.  The trouble with you, BO, is that you are totally out of touch, as are your vetting agents at NBC,ABC,CBS, and the most liberal of all, out tax supported NPR.

Answer these too, How will you pay for Universal Health Care when Medicare, a much smaller program, is going broke? How will you help students through college, when they can’t read or write? Will you lower standards? Will you lower interest rates on student juice loans? Will you forego your salary to “help” the poor? Will you abolish affirmative action, a program disciminating against those who really want to get an education?

What were your grades in college, who were some of your friends? Why did you vote “Present,” so many times in the Illinois State Senate?  How is it that you have  come in contact with so many questionable people in your short lifetime? I never met anyone controversial in over seventy years, nor have any of the entire population of this country.

When do the investigators show up? I have more questions to ask.
