America by Heart

I just finished reading Sarah Palin‘s book “America by Heart.”  She really lets her feelings hang out in this narrative. The intent of the book is to give the reader an understanding of her depth of knowledge of history, and the world. She didn’t need to convince me because all of  her values are in line with mine. I like to think that I represent a fairly large contingent of people in the USA.

I was impressed by Sarah’s list of references, and her knowledge of American history. She is a better read person than given credit by Katie Couric. In fact, I would predict that Sarah is a better read than Couric.

Palin’s conservative values, love of family, and love of God hang on her sleeve in this writing. Everyone who is a Palin-hater should open their minds to read America by Heart. Those of you who are Sarah supporters should also read the book to better understand what makes her tick. unfortunately, most people will get their insight from tabloid news and jerks like Chris Matthews, Bill Mahr, and Keith Olbermann. All three of them were born with a defective lobe. What we don’t understand is that Sarah Palin is you and me, and the liberals hate you and me too.

It is my opinion, the liberal element knows full well and understands her to be the Anti-Progressive who can kill their movement. As far as women who hate her, that is a little harder to understand. Again, my opinion; women hate her because she represents what men see in a woman. She is beautiful, loves family, loves God, is not afraid to raise kids, loves the outdoor life, and can still become Mayor, Governor, and even President while juggling babies and making cookies. She can do all of it without the likes of the Woman’s Liberation Movement. No modern woman wants her daughter to take on Sarah Palin as a role model for fear of losing the daughter’s respect as a mother.

I am not ready to support Sarah Palin as president for several reasons; first she isn’t running yet, second there will be a huge number of very qualified candidates to sort through when the time comes. While we are waiting for the field to show up, begin reading America by Heart.

Need a Bomb Shelter?

Maybe it is just me, but the Progressive types don’t seem to care about natural laws. I consider the US Constitution to be in the same category of document as the Ten Commandments. They have withstood the test of time, and are still valid today. You just can’t argue with the validity. Yet, the Liberals want to modify these natural laws to suit their own stupid agenda. The ten commandments and the US Constitution make too much sense, and they must be demonized and rewritten to make their own ideas seem viable. The latest argument, is that Conservatives are using the Constitution as the basis for a new religion. Actually, I think that is a good argument, because as a conservative, I do uphold the constitution with the same respect as I do the ten commandments and the bible.

Liberals argue that old documents like the Constitution are written in language that is hard to understand. They also pretend to be very intelligent and educated people. If they are so damned intelligent would it matter how difficult the language is to read? The same guys are probably all lined up to get into Shakespeare plays too.

They abhor the bible and the ten commandments because they are rules from God. Good liberals do not believe in God, therefore the commandments and the bible are irrelevant. They don’t believe in God, because they can’t see or touch Him. Therefore He must not exist. They lack faith in anyone but themselves, but their faith is hypocritical. Why? Because they also believe that Big Government knows what is good for them better than they know for themselves.

The cartoon portrays my feelings on the new START Treaty with Russia. The Russians have pulled a fast one on our administration. In our liberal direction of giving criminal countries equal standing in the world, we are literally giving away our position in the hierarchy of nations. Our foolish President and State Department really believes that by giving Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela equal status with the United States, that our relations will improve and there will be great peace on earth.

I think the economy will improve because of START. There will be a new building boom for bomb shelters.

New Development in the Wabbit War

A new force has mysteriously intervened in the Wabbit War. Striking in the dark of night, the new force has divided the Alliance. Grumpa Joe smilingly approves. The Alliance consisting of Wabbits, Grandma Peggy, birds, squirrels, mice, ants, and the dreaded Heron have suffered a major setback. Still unidentified, the strike force snuck into the garden climbed the window style and stole a bird feeder. In a fit of disappointment, Grandma Peggy directed Grumpa Joe to search for the lost feeder. He spent three hours in the yard mowing and weeding without spotting any evidence of the feeder or its hanger. Meanwhile, the Wabbits continue to eat any new plant sprouting in the flowerbeds. They also continue to enjoy the birdseed that Grandma Peggy now spreads on the patio for the birds. Is it possible that the Wabbits themselves are responsible for this latest act of aggression? Have they allied themselves with the opossum or the raccoons in order to avail themselves of easier food?

Leaky Walls

     I hope that world leaders know the value of time management, and the use of priorities to get things done.  Our world leader seems to need some instruction in the system. Here we are, faced with a situation on the southern border, a huge threat to national security, versus another one on the north that is friendly and relatively secure. The southern population is desperate to enter the USA, the northern population is happy to stay put.  Which direction would you go to fix the problem, north or south?

     You are right; the natural solution is to secure the border in the north. Why is that? Perhaps it is because you will encounter fewer people obstructing the way during construction.

Dear Senators Durbin and Burris:

I recently read an article about the new universal healthcare bill and need your help. Is the following statement true?

“Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured.”

A simple yes or no answer will suffice.
