A Florida Diner, not far from The Villages, forbids Biden supporters, and becomes so popular it runs out of food within hours and must triple their staff and set up extra tables on the sidewalk and in the parking lot The Post Mi A diner in DeBary, Florida, became popular overnight among residents and the international community after announcing they would no longer serve Biden supporters. They sold out of food the same day and temporarily closed. Angie Ugarte, the owner of the DeBary Diner, located just outside of Orlando, posted a provocative sign in the business’s window. It read, “If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting our White House, that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere.  God bless America, and God bless our soldiers.” According to the New York Post, Ugarte received donations from across the globe and sold out of food in hours that same Wednesday, having to close early pending a 3000% uptick in food deliveries and orders. Ugarte told the press:”I’ve gotten so many people calling me from all over the world, from Europe, from Asia, trying to purchase meals for veterans, which I still haven’t been able to organize.  Cooks, chefs, wait-staff have shown up in droves and asked to work for no pay.  Two doctors and a former judge showed up and asked if they could wash dishes.” She adds: “I think that the veterans will be fed for the rest of the year at the rate I’m getting donations. People have traveled from all over the US, from thousands of miles away, to pose in front of the sign and show their support for Ugarte.  One car with two couples in it arrived on Thursday from upper Michigan, a 3000-mile round trip, with an offer to bus tables and sweep floors.  There was nowhere to sit so they ordered four cups of water, to go, which was free, of course, but left a $1,000.00 cash “tip.” This includes Rod Phillips, a member of the State Council of the Vietnam Veterans of America association.  “We wanted to come over here and thank you personally,” Phillips told Ugarte as the pair posed for a photo. Phillips qualified, “I fully respect the office of presidency of the United States, but this should have been handled much better, much better.”He added, “Being a Vietnam veteran and combat-wounded, I don’t wish war on anybody.  But there is a proper way, and time, and place to leave an enemy country.”

Where Do I Start?

This post may sound a little confusing but I will try my best to make it understandable. Currently, I am in the process of dealing with healthcare in the United States. The issue is not with myself, because I have Medicare and a supplement which covers my costs. I don’t even think about it. That is probably the crux of the problem. We in the good old USA don’t think about the cost of health care often because we are covered by medical insurance either by our employer, ourselves, or by Uncle. The issue I am becoming familiar with are the people who don’t have any insurance coverage at all. They could be middle class Americans who lost their coverage because of the wonderful gift from Obama known as Obama Care, and can no longer afford to pay for the so called “free” Obama Care. Others who are in the country under unusual circumstances, and are undocumented cannot get private health care, Medicare, nor Obama Care. They are the cash paying victims of our society.

Today, I made an appointment for a simple blood test with a blood lab that is national. The doctor directed me to get a test to rule out a vitamin deficiency. At first he told me to get it done in his medical group lab, but rescinded when I told him I wanted to pay cash and keep this off my insurance. “If you do it in our lab it will cost you $161.00,” he said. “You can find it for much less at a private lab.” I took his advice.

After a few times on the internet I finally found a website for a blood test lab and the key to unlock their tests other than COVID. The primary emphasis of their site directed people to go for COVID testing. I learned that they would give me the test I wanted for $48. That is because I compared them to a competitor who was offering the same vitamin test for $54. I registered for an appointment.

At the lab this afternoon, I was asked if I had an order from the doctor. “No,” I said, but you can call him and he will give you one. They called and I was rolling up my sleeve when I finally asked what the charge was going to be. “It’ll be $100.”

“Wait a minute, the website gave me a price of $48.” The technician read the dumb look on my face and said, “Thats the price you get when you register, and pay for the test online.”

“I did register for the test online.”

“Did you pay online?”

“No.”

“That’s why, without a doctor’s order it is different.”

“You mean that if I go home and register for the test online, and pay for it I won’t need a doctor’s order, and I get it for $48?

“Yes.”

“I guess I’ll see you tomorrow then.”

I was back at the computer logging into the lab website when my wife asked me what I was doing. I explained the whole thing to her but she didn’t understand any of it. “In my country all of the tests are free, but I know a place that will do it cheaper, I had the test done a few years ago.” She gave me the number, I called and made an appointment for the test for $45, and didn’t need a doctor’s order.

I have finally reached the point I was going to make when I opened this post. One trouble with our country is the high cost of health care. It is easy to tell why it is so high. My doctor has a staff to support, and he belongs to a big doctor group that owns many hospitals, clinics, and offices. All of them cost money to support. The private clinic is much the same, but on a smaller scale, and finally the independent lab that runs on a shoestring is the lowest cost of all. That isn’t apparent when they deal mainly with people who use their insurance and don’t care what the heck a test costs. It’s my guess that the little guy makes more profit than the huge hospital group because his overhead is so low.

I’m trying to decide who is the blame for this high cost, the government for supporting it with Obama Care or capitalism for juicing the profit from the insurance companies, or the insurance companies for juicing the people and their doctors.

So why is this a problem? With so many people out of work because of COVID I see many instances where people who lost their employer healthcare now wind up paying out of pocket costs that are unsustainable. It won’t be long before Uncle is preaching universal health care for all like he did when Obama was president.

Just When I Thought It Couldn’t get Worse

It becomes clearer every day now that President Joe Biden will not last his first term. The Democrats are in such trouble they will find a way to rid themselves of the curse he put on the country. It is my opinion that Biden should be propped up and made to look alive just like in the movie Weekend At Bernies. Why? Because I don’t think the alternative is better, In fact I think it will be worse. I can’t bear the thought of seeing the VP become the new President, and then listen to her answer with cackles.

It is also obvious to me that the news spotlight is suddenly on Wonder-Boy Pete Buttigieg. In my mind he is headed for the Vice Presidency, and when Cackle face resigns he would automatically become the new president. Most likely, he will be sworn in and immediately take another paternity leave to breast feed a new mouth. No matter that when he returns from leave the country will be at war with Russia in the Ukraine and China in Taiwan. Not to sweat because our Military Leaders will have everything under control with conference calls to Moscow and Bejing filling them in on battle plans. Of course President Wonder-Boy will blame everything on Trump and COVID. That is the formula all democrats use when they are caught with their head stuck in their anus.

Please remember this is all conjecture on my part based soley on current news articles and quotes by the accused. The latest article to set me off was by Wonder-Boy blaming the supply chain problem on a lack of government paid child care. Forgive me if I interrupt your train of thought with my laughter. I can’t wait to see how a government contracted individual who sits with your 2-5 yo kid will unlock the jam in the port of Los Angeles. What I do see is a bunch of cartel bullies running your kids through child molesters, human traffickers, and Critical Race Theory school. The government, especially Pete Buttigieg, should be kept away from providing any service that we can do for ourselves. I am familiar with private pre-schools in my town and I wouldn’t want them to be ruined by coming under government control. Mayor Wonder Boy’s stupidity is just one characteristic the democrats see as necessary to run a multi-trillion dollar budget and the world’s largest military.

Don’t Cry For Me America

Forgive me for stealing the title from the song written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice for the musical play Evita. A dear friend sent me a video this morning which I have seen many times before and decided to use as the basis for my post. There are so many parallels between the economic and political history of Argentina and the United States that this short video is a scary prediction of the direction and eventual outcome we face.

It is hard to understand why the country is divided almost an exact 50-50 between liberals and conservatives, but it is that way. What is harder to understand is that there is not a very large middle ground where some of the population can see, and argue both sides with compromise. For years we the people have been living with such a population, i.e. one that sees the value in compromise and is happy with the out come. Today, we face completely opposite mindsets. Both conservative and liberal are so set in their philosophy that they cannot even imagine not getting their way. I for one believe the only way to return the country to a manageable sanity is to totally destroy the other side. This would mean a civil war fought to the bitter end with one hundred and fifty million dead all on the same side. Since wars don’t turn out that way it would mean a hundred and fifty million liberals and a hundred million conservatives dead. The picture is not very pretty.

A civil war in the United States today would most likely mean that China would side up with the liberal side and take advantage of the situation. I’m not sure Russia would get into the fray, but they would sure enjoy watching the self-annihilation happen. All of this because one faction believes it is more correct than the other. I for one believe the correct side is the conservative one. To me communism stinks and has proven to be wrong many times over the years. Why the liberals continue to believe in this errant philosophy can only be attributed to mental illness. Of course the liberals see conservatives as being mentally unstable. So, may the best man win.

At this moment I see the liberals with an advantage as they control the military, the leadership power, and a very sympathetic press. It is a lot to overcome. Conservatives believe in the power of ideas, and liberals believe in the power of giving people what they want. The giving side works for a little while, but eventually dives into oblivion as the country goes bankrupt.

In the meantime, how do we fight this war? How can we defeat the evil without nuclear annihilation, and the help of a billion man army feeding themselves with chopsticks? Of course the liberals will say we must use diplomacy, but we know that doesn’t work too good unless one country carries a huge stick and holds it over the head of the other. World Wars One, and Two were fought because one country believed that by creating the perfect race it would lead to the perfect world. We know that didn’t work, but it cost both sides millions of lives to decide it. At the end of WWII a new philosophy entered the picture. The USA and England made a pact with the devil to help beat the Germans and that in turn led to Joe Stalin infiltrating Europe with his marvelous, wonderful political philosophy of communism. That really initiated a third war which we called the Cold War because there were no bullets or bombs involved. Even though the USSR disbanded and we thought our prayers were answered, the underground communists persisted and are beginning to win big. A large number of these communists invaded our schools of higher education and have been teaching our kids how wonderful it is to not have to work for a living and to get free stuff along with five weeks of vacation, and free child care, and free health care, and free food. Experts tell us to look at Norway and Sweden, they are living the high life under the socialist veil. What they don’t understand is that citizens in these countries are taxed, taxed, and taxed to the point of not being able to strip themselves of the yokes that bind them. They are not free to start their own enterprises, they have become slaves to the system. But, they like it! They lead relatively good lives and seem to be happy. Most likely they are happy because the government tells them repeatedly how happy they are. The North Korean fat boy tells his people repeatedly all day long over country-wide speakers how fortunate and happy they are to be starving. China does the same. Chinese seem to be very nationalistic, and happy to be serving dear leader. Just watch some Youtube videos of Chinese people being interviewed about their lives.

If the socialist system is so great then why do Hong Kong and Taiwan, both Chinese populations living in a capitalist world resist socialism so strongly? The answer is obvious, they like freedom and liberty more than the socialist yoke of sameness.

Wonder Boy Does It Again

I don’t like to pick on President Biden because he represents the aged population, and picking on him would be picking on myself. There are certainly many things to pick on him about, the most stupid is his policy to follow up on all the ridiculous things Obama started but couldn’t complete. What I can do is pick on the assholes he has nominated for his cabinet positions. My number one pick is Wonder Boy Pete Buttigieg. Today he is on CBS reporting that the only way to end the back log in the ports is to kill COVID. How would he do that? By vaccinating every single person in North America.

Now, explain to me who that would happen? If everyone were to miraculously be vaccinated overnight today, how would it change the course of the ships in the harbor? Would there be more harbor space at the docks? would there be more transport trucks, trains, and drivers? It will take a couple of years to fill that pipeline. In the meantime COVID will run rampant where ever it can gain a foot hold. We still have outbreaks of polio and measles years after the world was vaccinated. My doctor told me that COVID will never go away; it is a virus for God’s sake it lives and thrives where ever it can.

What I would expect from Wonder-Boy are some solid actions to get things moving now. What would I do?

I would activate the National Guard with all their trucks and drivers.

I would direct ships from Los Angeles though the Panama Canal to ports in Miami, Savannah, and points further north, even Chicago through the St. Lawrence Seaway.

I would offer major bonuses to drivers who are currently unemployed to get into trucks to help unclog the ports.

I would ask Congress to pass a law that would grant the Federal Government power to put all union activity on hold until the crisis is solved.

The one thing I wold not do is what Wonder-Boy is doing i.e. NOTHING!

Instead Wonder-Boy makes negative statements that stopping COVID is the only answer. It may be, but it is not an immediate solution to a national problem. If ever their was a threat to national security this is one of them.

I recommend that Wonder-Boy don his Superman cape, Batman tights, and jump on his Pee Wee Herman Schwinn to pedal his ass back to South Bend where he belongs.

I want some TRUMP style action, and now!
