A Soldier for the Progressive Movement

A few years ago I filed my income tax return on time as usual. A week after I filed, I received a 1099 from one of my savings accounts. Oh my God, I forgot to claim $90.00 of interest. What do I do?  I did what most law-abiding citizens of the USA would do, I filed an amended return. My mind was at ease, I began to sleep well  again.

A month later, I received a notice from the dreaded IRS. The letter proclaimed that I had not claimed $90 of interest from a bank account. Also, they listed about six other infractions from earlier years which they said I had not claimed. None of them were over $25.00.

What amazed me was the detail of their claims and the speed with which they were able to make the claims. The other part that amazed me more was they totally ignored my amended claim.

The IRS demanded I clear up the matter immediately or they would go after me for the “many” infractions they had listed. Being scared-to-death about a life in prison for ninety dollars, I also forgot about the amended claim and complied. I sent them the documentation requested and the fine they said I owed.

A month later I received acknowledgement of my amended claim. This was totally separate from their threatening letter demanding action on my part. Who the hell is in charge? Frankly folks, I will ignore any new demands the IRS makes of me. I will sooner have the satisfaction of them coming to take my over mortgaged house and me with it  than to give in to these mindless, emotionless, and soulless bureaucrats. I can hardly wait for Obama-Care to kick in so I can have some fun with them.

Change the  scene. A few weeks ago I listened to a news report of one Harry Reid (pictured above) making a claim that Mitt Romney has not paid his taxes. Are you kidding me? There is no way in hell the IRS is going to let anyone get away with not paying taxes. This is just an example of how far out of touch with reality that Senator Harry Reid from the good State of Nevada is.

The only people who will buy that Kool Aid are the ones who don’t pay taxes and believe it is the moral obligation of those who do to pay more. Harry Reid is a soldier for the Progressive movement and will kiss his commander’s ass at any opportunity. This time he missed and hit a new mark. The black hole sucked his dumb head right into where it belongs.

Does a Gene Separate Rulers From the Ruled?

I never have to search for material it seems to find its way into my mailbox. Just yesterday, I received two videos, one from my son, and another from a friend. No doubt, I will again be branded as racist because the stars in the videos are Black Americans. I cannot believe these are real people and not actors. Yet, they are real live humanoids living among us. Each one expresses his views as eloquently as is possible. They are polar opposites and represent the ideological division we have in America.

I know what side I am on, but I cannot believe that many people support the welfare life. Today’s statistics tell me that in actuality, there are more people on welfare than there were four years ago. I can believe that because of the weak economy. What I can’t believe is a government that actually promotes the welfare state. What kind of  human dignity does a person who thrives on welfare have? Better yet, how does government perceive human beings if they believe they must care for them from cradle to grave? Isn’t the government also made up of the same humans or, is there one class of humans who are a cut above others? If there is a class whose genes make them government capable, then shouldn’t we test everyone at birth to decide who will lead, and who must be cared for as sheeple?

Another point, aren’t humans who are more capable of lording over those they feel superior to the racists?

Community Organizer versus Business Guy

In a recent debate, the press forced Mitt Romney into disclosing his income tax return just as they had forced Obama to show his origin of birth and his college records. There is no law that requires a candidate to disclose his tax return, and Mitt wanted to do as Obama did, i.e. disclose after you are president. Instead he caved, and now the topic of discussion is how much money Mitt has and how little tax he pays. Actually, I think the guy is pretty smart to have accumulated so much wealth in a lifetime.  However, he is not as rich as the president’s chief advisor on tax matters, one Warren Buffet whose net worth is at forty-seven billion. Warren Buffet takes a small salary, therefore most of his earnings are capital gains which are taxed at  taxed at 15%. Buffet reportedly paid 17% tax. I don’t see Warren donating his fair share. One of Buffet’s companies, NetJets is  suing the IRS to avoid paying 643 million in taxes thee IRS says it owes. Mr. Buffet follows the law, I’m sure he is paying exactly what he owes and not a penny more. He is correctly lobbying Congress to change the laws to make him pay more.

Romney is nowhere near as rich as Microsoft founder Bill Gates at fifty-three billion. Mitt’s net worth of 231 million is even with that of Senator Herb Kohl of Wisconsin and below Congressman Daryl Issa. Mitt’s paltry family fortune pales in comparison to that of Oprah, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Jay Z, Beyonce, Mark Zuckerberg, Donald Trump or Michael Bloomberg. I’d like to see their tax returns too.

So what’s the big deal about Mitt’s tax return? The press will over analyze it and try to use it against him by widening the gap between the rich and the poor. In other words, they are supporting Obama’s class warfare efforts.

If Congress passed a law today requiring Bill Gates and Warren Buffet to give everything they own (100 billion dollars) to Obama it will pay for fifteen minutes of his spending.

President Obama recently filed a tax return showing earnings of 1.5 million dollars. The presidential salary is $480,000.00/yr. Where did the difference come from? Is Obama moonlighting, or does Michelle have a job?

Mankind has always experienced differences in wealth between people. It is normal for some to become more wealthy by their efforts than others. To even out the wealth of everyone requires a system called communism, and even that doesn’t do the job perfectly nor does it come close.
