A Piece of History to Learn From

This is an incident I was totally unaware of. I have always wondered what would happen if “we the people” decided we have had enough. This video answers the question. It also answers why the local police are equipping themselves with armored cars, and military trained policemen.

Here  is another more recent example of how our government reacts to an organized citizen protest.

Why am I worried about these things? What will happen if our economy collapses and the country comes to a standstill. Bread costs a hundred dollars a loaf if you can find it, milk is two hundred dollars a gallon if you can find it, cars are out of gas and left where they did. No body works, and you begin to tear the woodwork off your house to fuel a fire to keep warm. What will happen then? The president will declare martial law, and suspend the Constitution. He becomes a dictator to save the country. He decides which camp you will call home from this point on. You will be killed if caught on the streets after curfew. We learn to live by a new set of rules, and our dream to enact term limits has vaporized. What will you do? The government is training for what they will do, but we will be an untrained chaotic mob.

I would rather solve the problem before we get to this point. That is why our government has to live within the constraint of a budget and not spend more than it can afford. Overspending will ultimately result in economic collapse.

Call your Representative today and demand that he/she support spending cuts, and the repeal of the ACA.

We Are Screwed

Dorothy did it to me again. She sent me a video that has me in a countdown mode. How long before the USA crashes? The answer is not simple. If our leaders fail to address the problems before us, we are screwed. There is no better way to put it.

At this point, we have a few seconds to fix the problem. If we choose the wrong President, we are screwed. If our leaders lie to us, and fail to fix the problem, we are screwed. It is only a matter of time before the USA is at the bottom of the list with Greece, Spain, and every other pot hole of a country that has nothing. If we keep the guy we have, we know the race is on to give away the America’s wealth before the economy collapses. If we choose the new guy whose background is in fixing broken companies, we might still have a chance.

Where is our current leadership? Why are they concentrating on going around the world poking sticks into hornets nests when they should be working 24/7 on fixing the economy and the broken entitlement system we so generously asked for.

Anyone with a third grade education can watch this video and tell where the problem lies. It explains why interest rates are so low. The Fed knows if it were higher the countdown would be moving at the speed of light toward our failure. I think the people of America are smart enough and mature enough to understand what needs to be done. Will our elected representatives have the cojones to do something about it?

At this point I am glad I am the age I am. Even if I survive another twenty years (fat chance of that happening) I will not have to endure the misery as long as my grandkids who range in age from seven to eighteen. Those poor kids won’t know what hit them, and I feel responsible for doing it to them. The thought that I’ll spend eternity knowing I did it to them just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.  Of course I was not alone, I have around 330 million neighbors who also contributed to the problem.

So the question is this, what are we, uh, what are you going to do about the situation?

I know what I will do.

Watch the video to understand the problem. It wasn’t caused by Obama or Bush, It started in the nineteen forties with Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Everyone since then has exacerbated the problem.

Rock Star Spangled Banner

Truly this is unique and different version of the Star Spangled Banner played by a young rock group called Madison Rising. When I received this in an e-mail I delayed opening it because I didn’t want to hear the anthem desecrated. Finally, after building up my courage, I opened the file and listened. The video, and sound amazed me. I love it and will download this song into my iTunes library. Don’t be afraid to open and listen, you too will be amazed. You cannot be an American and not like this. If I Were the Devil

Paul Harvey now deceased commented frequently on radio. His popularity was worldwide. I loved his daily noontime show The Rest of the Story kept me tuning in for more. He took stories from and about real people and made them fascinating. A friend sent this video which he did in nineteen sixty-five. Two things strike me about this piece. First, it sounds like it was written about today’s problems. Second, he is spot on with his analysis.
