A Really Bad Idea

A friend recently sent me an article explaining why the Gadsden flag is considered racist. I posted a piece I wrote on that subject titled Racism Gone Wild. In it I expressed my opinions on racism. Personally, I believe anyone who links people living in 2016 to slavery of the 1700-1865 era has no case. That is what the Gadsden Flag and the Confederate Flag issues are about.

When I read the article, I decided to have some fun and to rewrite it with a satirical twist to see if the racism issue is valid. I concluded the flag argument does not make any sense what so ever. You be the judge.

Freedom of speech is once again under attack.  This time the federal government is reviewing your ability to wear the American Flag on a hat.

The American Flag has emerged over the past few years as the symbol for the Tea Party.  But fact is it stems back to the Revolutionary War.  As shown in the picture, According to the UnEqual UnEmployment No-Opportunity Commission (UUNC), the body that oversees “hostile work environment” harassment claims against federal agencies, the American Flag potentially represents racism.

According to Fax News, in early 2016 the UUNC received a complaint from a person using the alias name, “Shelton.”  Apparently, he is an African American, and he finds the American Flag racially offensive.  He claims his employer, which just so happens to be the federal government, subjected him to racial discrimination when a coworker  was permitted to “repeatedly wear the cap with an American Flag.”

Shelton claims the hat is racist because George Washington who designed it in 1777, was a slave owner. Furthermore, he says today the flag represents “white resentment against blacks stemming largely from the Tea Party.”

Although the UUNC acknowledged that the American Flag did not originate with the Tea Party movement, and was created centuries ago “in a non-racial context,” it did find that it could be “interpreted to convey racially-tinged messages in some contexts.” It’s basis for this finding was a long standing policy that includes white supremacists draping American Flags over the coffins of deceased military personnel.

The UUNC concluded that the claim “must be investigated to determine the specific context in which [the hat-wearing coworker] displayed the symbol in the workplace,” and called for the gathering of “evidence that would illuminate the meaning conveyed by [the coworker’s] display of the symbol.”

If the Federal Government decides in the complainant’s favor, they will also have to consider forbiding the American Flag known as Old Glory from flying over government buildings

Racism Gone Wild

The news today is unbelievable like it is most days, but today’s theme got to me. The first article is about the Gadsden Flag with the famous Don’t Tread on Me slogan.

 

2000px-Gadsden_flag.svg.pngThe second is an article about the government’s ad to drink milk. The author claims that it is racist because blacks don’t need to drink as much milk as whites. Somehow, black people have a body that compensates.

I am so very tired of hearing about all these claims racism, Black Lives Matter, White Privilege, whites who want to be black, etc.. I have a proposal for the world. Let all of us racist white people climb onto a huge Death Star right out of Star Wars and leave planet earth completely to the people of colors. Let those who are crying racism have the planet and we will watch from the universe to see what happens.

I don’t think racism would disappear, it would only transfer to other groups. For instance, Asians might be pitted against Africans, or Mid-easterns against Hispanics. The difference is that these groups don’t have a long history of slavery. I am not saying they have never indulged in slavery because they have, and still do. What I’m saying is they don’t have a long history of suppressing people, setting them free, and then living with the ex-slaves bitchin’ about their treatment for the next thousand years.

My bet is that the Caucasian-less world would self implode after a very few short years. The Asians would rule the world, the Africans would all be converted to Islam and they would be cutting off the heads of Asians. The Hispanics would be warring with the blacks for turf on the Western half of the planet, but would rule because they would own the blacks with their drugs.

Inter-marriages would be forbidden as they always are within any ethnic group except they would truly be forbidden. It won’t be like it was on the planet when all the white people were here, all wanting to end racism by inter-marrying and self destructing the caucasian race. All the ethnics want to keep their blood lines pure so the inter-race marriages would be taboo. All races have the same line of thinking, keep our race pure. My mother had the same objective, she wanted her sons to marry nice Hungarian women. It didn’t matter that the woman I fell in love with was white, what mattered was she Hungarian. Had my fiancé been black or Asian my mother would have died on the spot. My mother was the norm, and  other nationalities practiced the same beliefs. They still do. Even American Indians wanted their women to marry braves from within their own tribe.

History will show us that keeping races and nationalities pure is a hard endeavor. The Spaniards came to the Americas without their women, and wound up creating a completely new race which we call Hispanic. The Norse intermingled with the Gauls, and so on, nationalities became diluted, but race commingling somehow remained minimal. I don’t believe there is any place on earth where race is completely neutral between people. It is hard for me to believe that a man who sees a lily white woman with a deep dark man does not have a tingle of animosity toward them. The opposite is also true relative to black women with white men.

Legislating against racism will not cure the problem either, nor will all the politically correct speech. I’m not sure what will make us color-blind and accepting of people outside our own color.

This is an excellent essay written by a Liberal Public Defender. I cannot believe he hasn’t been branded a Racist after writing his very candid thoughts about the many blacks he helps. He exposes himself near the end of the piece when he lists what blacks cannot do well.

Police Harassment Answered

A friend sent me this humorous, but very serious piece today, and it kind of answers my questions about why and how police harass citizens . The recent news from Ferguson, Missouri and later from New York about police brutality against blacks made me wonder if my assessment of racism is correct. For the record, my assessment is this; We are not a racist nation anymore. Yes, many white people still do not care for blacks, but we are not racist. Not liking and hating are two different things. Believing that blacks are inferior is racist. I don’t like many blacks because they behave differently than me. Those that behave like me are good people. I also do not care for white people who behave differently than me, does that mean I am a racist, or a white supremacist? No, it means that I prefer to hang with people who have similar morals and character as I do.

For centuries people from all parts of the world have disliked each other for various reasons. The color of one’s skin is one reason that makes humans cautious about liking them. Right now in Africa, there are some very racist blacks who hate whites. Many African countries exploited by white traders, plantation owners and such actively seek to right wrongs by hating whites. Slave traders are, in my opinion, the most racist on the face of Earth. They seem to believe that they are so superior as to make their slave captures sub-human. So who should the blacks of America be upset with? Current, slave traders are number one.  They are the people who believe in treating their product as sub-human by exploiting them. Blacks are not alone in this matter, women of all races sold into sex slavery fit into the same group.

So who should the blacks of America be demonstrating against? Certainly not cops, nor any non-black who lives here. Their demonstrations should point at their slavers called the Democrat party who have exploited them with their policies of freebies and broken families.

It will take another hundred years to straighten out this mess, but we can do it by eliminating socialism and those who promote it. In the meantime, I agree with the author of the piece below. I could not verify the original author, but this version of the story seems to have the longest life on the net.

Recently, the Chula Vista, California Police Department ran an e-mail forum with the local community (a question and answer exchange) with the topic being, “Community Policing.” One of the civilian e-mail participants posed the following question:
“I would like to know how it is possible for police officers to continually harass people and get away with it?”
From the “other side” (the law enforcement side) Sgt. Bennett, obviously a cop with a sense of humor replied:
“First of all, let me tell you this…it’s not easy. In Chula Vista, we average one cop for every 600 people.
Only about 60% of those cops are on general duty (or what you might refer to as “patrol”) where we do most of our harassing. The rest are in non-harassing departments that do not allow them contact with the day to day innocents.
At any given moment, only one-fifth of the 60% patrollers are on duty and available for harassing people while the rest are off duty.
So roughly, one cop is responsible for harassing about 5,000 residents.
When you toss in the commercial business, and tourist locations that attract people from other areas, sometimes you have a situation where a single cop is responsible for harassing 10,000 or more people a day.
Now, your average ten-hour shift runs 36,000 seconds long. This gives a cop one second to harass a person, and then only three-fourths of a second to eat a doughnut AND then find a new person to harass.
This is not an easy task. To be honest, most cops are not up to this challenge day in and day out. It is just too tiring.
What we do is utilize some tools to help us narrow down those people which we can realistically harass.
The tools available to us are as follow:
PHONE: People will call us up and point out things that cause us to focus on a person for special harassment.
“My neighbor is beating his wife” is a code phrase used often. This means we’ll come out and give somebody some special harassment.
Another popular one: “There’s a guy breaking into a house.” The harassment team is then put into action.
CARS: We have special cops assigned to harass people who drive. They like to harass the drivers of fast cars, cars with no insurance or no driver’s licenses and the like.
It’s lots of fun when you pick them out of traffic for nothing more obvious than running a red light.
Sometimes you get to really heap the harassment on when you find they have drugs in the car, they are drunk, or have an outstanding warrant on file.
RUNNERS: Some people take off running just at the sight of a police officer. Nothing is quite as satisfying as running after them like a beagle on the scent of a bunny. When you catch them you can harass them for hours to determine why they didn’t want to talk to us.
STATUTES: When we don’t have PHONES or CARS and have nothing better to do, there are actually books that give us ideas for reasons to harass folks. They are called “Statutes”; Criminal Codes, Motor Vehicle Codes, etc…They all spell out all sorts of things for which you can really mess with people.
After you read the statute, you can just drive around for a while until you find someone violating one of these listed offenses and harass them.
Just last week I saw a guy trying to steal a car. Well, there’s this book we have that says that’s not allowed. That meant I got permission to harass this guy. It’s a really cool system that we’ve set up, and it works pretty well.
We seem to have a never-ending supply of folks to harass. And we get away with it. Why? Because for the good citizens who pay the tab, we try to keep the streets safe for them, and they
pay us to “harass” some people.
Next time you are in my town, give me the old “single finger wave.” That’s another one of those codes. It means, “You can’t harass me.” It’s one of our favorites.
Hopefully sir, this has clarified to you a little bit better how we harass the good citizens of Chula Vista.

Which Kind of Uncle Tom Are You?

After years of hearing blacks make derogatory remarks about fellow blacks calling them “Uncle Toms,” I decided to learn just who Uncle Tom really is. I can’t believe it took me so long to read a classic like “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” by Harriet Beecher Stowe. Ms Stowe is white, yet she did a very skilful job of describing the lives of slaves. Her use of slave dialect is the hardest part of the book. Let’s face it, if one did not talk daily with a slave, understanding their speech is difficult. I made it through those chapters by phonetically sounding out the words spoken by the slave characters, and even that is hard to understand what they said. It just reinforced for me that learning a new language in a foreign country is not easy if you don’t get any help other than a whip.

I concluded that anyone who uses the term Uncle Tom as a derogatory term is either 1. Stupid, 2. Never read the book, or 3. professes the Black Power movement. Ms Stowe’s character is not a sellout to his race. He is the exact opposite, but his method ingratiated him with his owners. Uncle Tom believed in doing what his master asked of him and in doing it well. The result was he found favor with his owners until bought by one Simon Legree. Tom also believed in God and his faith kept him strong. He had a positive attitude which also cheered the people around him.

When Legree bought Tom at the New Orléans Slave Market he learned of Tom’s easy-going way and trustworthiness. Legree vowed to break him and have Tom bowing before him. Legree ordered Tom to whip a fellow slave. Tom refused to inflict punishment upon his fellow slave or anyone for that matter. Legree had him brutally whipped. Tom held out, believing being whipped to death would reward him with Heaven.

Eventually, Legree punishes Tom to the point of death, and still Tom holds on to his faith. Legree does not understand, nor does he care to.

In my opinion, blacks who try to degrade others by calling them Uncle Tom’s are ignorant of the true story behind Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Instead they choose to believe one of the distortions invented by various authors who rewrote the story for political, or racist reasons. The distorted definition of Uncle Tom became a black who will do anything to stay in the good of a white, including betray a fellow black. In 1852 when Stowe wrote the story, there were no copyright laws to protect content, and many authors and playwrights plagiarized the work rewriting sections to please audiences. The result is that Uncle Tom, as created by author Stowe is the exact opposite of the distortions.  The real Uncle Tom did not do things to stay in the good of whites, he did them because he believed in doing the best he could no matter what. As far as betrayal, he lived the opposite having died protecting his fellow slaves.
