They Gave Him Everything

This video expresses my sentiments completely, but liberals will label me racist again if I voice it as eloquently as the Reverend Phillip Manning.

No Luck At All

This is my new neighbor…

She’s single…

She lives right across the road.

I can see her place from my yard.

I watched as she got home from work this evening.

I was surprised when she walked across the
Street and up my driveway and
Knocked on my door.

I rushed to open it, she looks at me and says,
“I just got home, and I am so horny! I have
This strong urge to have a good
Time, get drunk, and make love all night long!
Are you busy tonight?”

I quickly replied, “Nope, I’m Free,
and I have no plans at all!”

She said, “Great! Could you

watch my dog?”

Being a senior citizen really sucks!

Cars, Cars, Cars, and More Cars

This has been an awful summer for me. The 2013 Monet Vision escaped being photographed, Peggy and I did not leave home for anything,, and I failed to visit a single Cruise Night in Frankfort. Maybe it was latent grief creeping out on the tenth anniversary of Barb’s death, or maybe it was a lower back pain that wouldn’t quit, or maybe learning that I suffer from Low T, or maybe it is simply because I reached middle age, whatever, the summer blues took over my mind and body.

Today, a good friend sent me a video link, that cheered me and picked me up beyond my expectations. I only wish he could have done it earlier, like in June. The video features a very large car show in Minnesota, touted as the largest in the world. The cars are amazing and beautiful. If you grew up in the fifties like I did, this video was like traveling back in time. Take a peek and enjoy these mobile works of art.

I Am Amazed

Creative people always amaze me with their interpretive ability. Where do they come up with all the stuff they do? Yesterday, I went to the Munster Theater with friends. We were early for the play so we went through their show of Middle and High School art. What a fabulous display of talent. Like I said above talent amazes me, especially of these kids ages nine through fourteen.

The cartoon below sent to me by my high school buddy Jim, is a prime example of the creativity that abounds around us. Watch this and laugh, or cry your butt off depending on whether you are a Liberal or a Conservative. It is  hilarious. The cartoon relates current events around the  lyrics of a very old, but popular song by the 1950’s group “The Platters.”  They are from my time folks, when singers sang real songs with real lyrics, and weren’t making social statements with rants that pass as music.

I love stories about the old west. This one is especially good.

Chapter 1

Thomas Jessop was wondering if he had just made a mistake.  Without moving his head he lifted his questioning eyes from the government surveyor’s map up to those of the Land Office clerk.

“Uh…” He stammered, “I just noticed that a lot of the creeks and rivers around where we bought our land have some mighty dismal names to ‘em. Should I be concerned?”

The clerk removed a pair of spectacles from his upper vest pocket and after blowing on the lenses and fitting them on, leaned over the long table to study the map.

After a minute or two the clerk straightened up and shrugging his shoulders told the young couple, “I’m not real familiar with the western territory but since there’s a town nearby, I am led to conclude that whoever named the water sources either had a sense of humor or quite possibly named them…

Without Self-Reliance

This is a great piece of wisdom based on the words of American philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson. It totally condones and appreciates American exceptionalism.
