  1. The Jefferson quote is fake. http://www.monticello.org/site/jefferson/government-big-enough-to-give-you-everything-you-wantquotation

    • Thanks for correcting me on that item. You cited an excellent source for clarifying the origin. I appreciate when my readers find errors in what I post, it makes me more careful each time it happens.

  2. It is all true, we all know it, we hate it , yet it stays the same. Voting therefore is an illusion that democracy or by the people exists.

    • Our Republic does continue to exist, what no longer exists is a voting population that cares to become involved as active participants in the process. What does exist is a segment of the population that sees the offices from town mayor up to president as a lucrative job. Thanks for your comment.

      • You are right.

    Brilliant!

  4. reblogged on my blog

  5. Reblogged this on darkofficehumour and commented:
    A list of eternal truisms…

This particular one seems menacing, almost Orwellian:

    3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Unfortunately, many political leaders, on the one hand make out as if the largesse they are doling out is their own hard-earned money, on the other they start believing it is their right to take from others.

  6. always good to get reminded of these eternal truths, said in a most engaging manner

  7. laughing is what happens when I read
till I sit back and realize I am reading this moment in time…

Confused about Islam, Muslims, Taqiyya, Kitman, The Islamic State, and Sharia? I've spent 14 years studying these confused beings.  They are not at all what they want us to believe, especially those who are ruled by al Qaeda , ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood as well as those who commit overt and covert Jihad while practicing Sharia tortures upon women

“ The limitation of riots, moral questions aside, is that they cannot win and their participants know it. Hence, rioting is not revolutionary but reactionary because it invites defeat. It involves an emotional catharsis, but it must be followed by a sense of futility. ” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
