This is a very eye opening demonstration of Muslims peacefully practicing their religion in Paris. I wonder why this wasn’t on the evening news.
As I do most times, I checked this out to determine why I hadn’t seen it on the news. I found an interesting SNOPES article declaring the video false. Read it for yourself and decide if SNOPES is sweeping this video under the rug.
The government did not declare war, nor did the media, nor did anyone except the producer of this video. Does it look like a war? Yes. Does it look like Muslims? Yes, Did a cop get shot in the belly? Yes. Did the rioters build a barricade? Yes. Did the barricade prevent the ambulance from getting to the cop? Yes. Did the rioters set fire to vehicles and buildings? Yes.
Unless the cop got shot by friendly fire I’d have to say that both sides were shooting. The cops were shooting water cannons and tear gas, the bad guys were shooting bullets.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it isn’t a duck when SNOPES examines the facts.
In Switzerland it has long been customary for students to shake the hands of their teachers at the beginning and end of the school day. It’s a sign of solidarity and mutual respect between teacher and pupil, one that is thought to encourage the right classroom atmosphere. Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga recently felt compelled to further explain that shaking hands was part of Swiss culture and daily life.
And the reason she felt compelled to speak out about the handshake is that two Muslim brothers, aged 14 and 15, who have lived in Switzerland for several years (and thus are familiar with its mores), in the town of Therwil, near Basel, refused to shake the hands of their teacher, a woman, because, they claimed, this would violate Muslim teachings that contact with the opposite sex is allowed only with family members.
At first the school authorities decided to avoid trouble, and initially granted the boys an exemption from having to shake the hand of any female teacher. But an uproar followed, as Mayor Reto Wolf explained to the BBC: “the community was unhappy with the decision taken by the school. In our culture and in our way of communication a handshake is normal and sends out respect for the other person, and this has to be brought home to the children in school.”
Therwil’s Educational Department reversed the school’s decision, explaining in a statement on May 25 that the school’s exemption was lifted because “the public interest with respect to equality between men and women and the integration of foreigners significantly outweighs the freedom of religion.” It added that a teacher has the right to demand a handshake. Furthermore, if the students refused to shake hands again “the sanctions called for by law will be applied,” which included a possible fine of up to 5,000 dollars.
This uproar in Switzerland, where many people were enraged at the original exemption granted to the Muslim boys, did not end after that exemption was itself overturned by the local Educational Department. The Swiss understood quite clearly that this was more than a little quarrel over handshakes; it was a fight over whether the Swiss would be masters in their own house, or whether they would be forced to yield, by the granting of special treatment, to the Islamic view of the proper relations between the sexes. It is one battle – small but to the Swiss significant – between overweening Muslim immigrants and the indigenous Swiss.
Naturally, once the exemption was withdrawn, all hell broke loose among Muslims in Switzerland. The Islamic Central Council of Switzerland, instead of yielding quietly to the Swiss decision to uphold the handshaking custom, criticized the ruling in hysterical terms, claiming that the enforcement of the handshaking is “totalitarian” (!) because its intent is to “forbid religious people from meeting their obligations to God.”
That, of course, was never the “intent” of the long-standing handshaking custom, which was a nearly-universal custom in Switzerland, and in schools had to do only with encouraging the right classroom atmosphere of mutual respect between instructor and pupil, of which the handshake was one aspect.
The Swiss formulation of the problem – weighing competing claims — will be familiar to Americans versed in Constitutional adjudication. In this case “the public interest with respect to equality” of the sexes and the “integration of foreigners” (who are expected to adopt Swiss ways, not force the Swiss to exempt them from some of those ways) were weighed against the “religious obligations to God” of Muslims, and the former interests found to outweigh the latter.
What this case shows is that even at the smallest and seemingly inconsequential level, Muslims are challenging the laws and customs of the Infidels among whom they have been allowed to settle [i.e., stealth jihad toward sharia dominance]. Each little victory, or defeat, will determine whether Muslims will truly integrate into a Western society or, instead, refashion that society to meet Muslim requirements.
The handshake has been upheld and, what’s more, a stiff fine now will be imposed on those who continue to refuse to shake hands with a female teacher. This is a heartening sign of non-surrender by the Swiss. But the challenges of the Muslims within Europe to the laws and customs of the indigenes have no logical end and will not stop.
And the greater the number of Muslims allowed to settle in Europe, the stronger and more frequent their challenges will be. They are attempting not to integrate, but rather to create, for now, a second, parallel society, and eventually, through sheer force of numbers from both migration and by outbreeding the Infidels, to fashion not a parallel society but one society — now dominated by Muslim sharia.
The Swiss handshaking dispute has received some, but not enough, press attention. Presumably, it’s deemed too inconsequential a matter to bother with. But the Swiss know better. And so should we.
There’s an old Scottish saying that in one variant reads: “Many a little makes a mickle.” That is, the accumulation of many little things leads to one big thing. That’s what’s happening in Europe today. This was one victory for the side of sanity. There will need to be a great many more.
They won’t shake hands but they will rape them in a heart beat.
This video is somewhat alarming, but not unusual for new immigrants coming into the country. I live in Chicago and over the past seventy years I have seen neighborhoods similar to this one in Dearborn with some exceptions. The signage was in Polish, Italian, German, and most recently Mexican. People who come into our country need to live near other people of their own nationality. Think about it, if you were suddenly dropped into an area of Iraq and had to learn the language, read the strange alphabet, assimilate into their culture how would you like it. Most likely, you would want to live in there American village with all the other Americans. Do you think the Iraqi’s would welcome you with open arms? Most likely, they would be hollering and screaming at you to get the hell out. Also not an easy thing to take. Assimilation takes time, learning a new language takes time, learning your way around the block takes time, finding food you can eat all takes an effort. None of it is easy.
What seems to be different with the Muslim immigrant is an Imam preaching not to assimilate. All of the kids I went to school with were pushed by their parents to learn the language, and to learn in school. My brother learned to speak English in grammar school. My sister and I learned from him, my parents learned from us, and from English classes for immigrants. There wasn’t a single nationality that harbored a hatred for America. Every Mexican I know is a friend. I love them as a people. They love America, they learn the language, they work hard, and they want to be your friend.
I would love to be alive a hundred years from now to see just how this new world works out.
I love this time of the year. I look forward to reading Christmas cards from my friends. Yesterday, I received a card that took me by surprise. It is little known that Frankfort, IL is home to a mosque. For all the years(26) I have lived here the mosque has been kept a secret. It is on a country road hidden in the woods at the end of a curvy drive so it is hidden from the street. I have no idea as to how many Muslims worship here. So, when I opened my mail I was shocked to find a card from the American Islamic Center shown below.
Could it be that the religion of peace is finally finding religion? Are the Muslims of Frankfort waking up to what it really means to have freedom? I pray they do, because if they can make up their minds to accept that they are a religion, and not a political ideology they can survive in the USA peacefully. What they have to work at over time is convincing us that they will not radicalize, and begin Jihad or self-immolation in the name of Islam.
What puzzles me is why are they suddenly sending cards at Christmas time to wish us all blessings and everlasting friendship? Could it be related to President-elect Donald Trump’s message about the Muslim threat in America?
The Muslim’s guarantee to freedom of religion is based on the premise they do not pose a threat to the Christian population. Contrary to what Obama so boldly announced we are still a Christian Nation. Christians can and will embrace Muslims as friends when they can be confident that doing so will not make martyrs out of us.
I hope they are honest about the wishes expressed on this card for one simple reason, I am at an age where the human body begins to wear out, and I will need medical help in the future. It is damned hard to find non-muslim doctors in this area, and because I have been decreed to be an Islamophobe by Liberals it would be dangerous for me to allow myself to be treated by a muslim for fear of being declared an infidel, and become prey for an easy take down.
I have heard rumors to the effect that Dearborn Michigan was highly Muslim populated. In fact, I have seen news reports to support my belief. Here is another person’s observation of just how bad the situation has become.
################################################
How would you feel if you drove into a town here in the United States and found that many of the street signs were in Arabic only with no English wording? Then you look around and discover that many of the signs on businesses were also in Arabic. Not possible you say? Think again! Welcome to Dearborn, Michigan.
Steve Tarani, author and speaker recounts what he saw when he rode with a member of the Detroit Metro SWAT Police as they drove around Detroit and into Dearborn:
“The street signs suddenly went from English to Arabic. There wasn’t a single English word on any shop or any street sign. And in fact, these little yellow signs were posted all along the edges. Jeremy said to me, ‘this is it. We don’t go past this line.’ And I said to Jeremy, ‘what do you mean? You guys are Detroit Metro. You’re the SWAT team. You can go anywhere you want. What if you get a call over there?’ He said ‘this is it, it’s hazardous for our team if we go past this line.'”
“I have seen it with my own eyes, witnessed it in the backseat of a car and it is for real. No-go zones exist in the United States.” “Dearborn, Michigan is not the only place that these settlements exist. They are spread out over the country in various cities. There’s an estimate of over 5,000 known terrorist cells in the United States. However our most persistent and significant threat, right now, to us here today this morning, is the homegrown violent extremists.”
Some people try to discount Tarani’s account but I’ve seen too many reports that have come out of Dearborn that would tend to support his account of the Muslim takeover of the American city. Christians have been only attacked by Muslims without prosecution. They’ve also been told to stay away from the city’s Islamic festival and even banned from talking to people on the public streets outside the festival
The Muslim influence is so strong in Dearborn that the high schools hold girls only proms because Muslim girls are not allowed to socialize or dance with boys. These proms are religious based and no one has said anything about a violation of church and state or tried to stop them. Christian students are banned from having Christmas parties, prayer meetings or Baccalaureate services, but Muslims are allowed to pray in school and hold Islamic proms. You have to ask why organizations like the ACLU, American Atheists, Freedom From Religion Foundation and Americans United for Separation of Church and State remain silent about what is happening in Dearborn schools.
Murfreesboro, Tennessee is fast becoming a second Muslim controlled city like Dearborn and there are others on the way. I have friends in the United Kingdom who have told me of how Muslims have taken over entire cities and areas in their country. What they tell me is that it all started with cities like Dearborn and Murfreesboro and just continues to spread. One of my friends compared Islam in England to a cancer that continues to spread and contaminate everything it encounters. In time it will spread to the point that the country dies from it and becomes the home of a religion that teaches hate, bloodshed and sharia law. Like a cancer, the only way to save the nation is to stop the spread of the religion of terrorism. Then he told me that in our modern sophisticated world full of freedoms and rights that it’s impossible to stop the spread of Islam without igniting a worldwide religious war.
Now realize that Barack Hussein Obama has been actively inviting Muslims to come to the US. He is also advocating opening our doors to up to 7 million Syrian Muslim refugees and there is no telling how many terrorists ware hiding among those 7 million. That would be like trying to cure a patient by injecting him with massive doses of cancer cells.
I have to honestly say that the future of America is not looking very bright and to be honest, I don’t know what to do to change it other than make others aware of it and encourage everyone to get on their knees and pray for the Christian revival of America.
