Colin Kaepernick blew his big chance. His protest would have been more effective had he just not showed up for the game. Think about that, a stadium filled with loyal fans and the star quarterback doesn’t show up. Of course the team would put in their extra QB and the game would be played. The fans would be angry and he could have then made his point in after game interviews. Unfortunately for Colin, he didn’t use his head or maybe he was just afraid he would not get paid, or worse the team would have a legitimate reason to fire him.
Let’s say his failure to show didn’t matter to fans, and he wanted a more effective protest. He could have convinced his entire team to not show up on game day. Now, that would be funny, how would sixty thousand fans react if at the game they learned the team didn’t show? The owners would certainly not go along with his protest then would they? The media would talk about his cause 24/7 for months.
Instead of getting his message out he succeeded in turning the entire United States against him, as well as all NFL players, and the league. Do you remember what his reason was for kneeling instead of honoring the flag and the anthem? I do, but I’m not going to reveal it, because I think his protest is stupid, and I don’t want anyone reading this to get the idea that Colin is stupid.
