Late last evening Akkmed Wabbit and his young son Osama bin Wabbit were seen high tailing it out of the garden. This morning Grumpa Joe discovered the attack while he strolled the Monet Vision with his coffee in hand. “The little bastards just took out sixty dollars worth of petunias. I hope they get indigestion,” he said out loud. He then went inside to plot his revenge.
He should have known better than to plant Petunias, but Joe felt secure after not having seen a Wabbit for several months. Last year the marigolds kept them out. He started to research methods for eliminating Wabbits from gardens. Here is the list of ways he is considering:

4. Shotgun
5. Import a coyote
6. Hire a Hawk
7. Plant Marigolds
8. Fence off the flower beds
9. Hire a 24 hour armed guard to chase them away

A surprise retaliation awaits you little bastards.
The video below is a little corny, but it evoked a memory of my Grandpa’s farm. He bought the farm after he lost his job in a coal mining accident in southern Illinois. Sometime in the 1920’s, my Dad help him build a barn. Dad used a post and beam frame hewn from logs cut on the property.
As a boy of ten I loved to explore the old building. It had a stall for the cow, and another for Gramp’s white horse Nellie. The animals were long gone, but the loft still had hay in it, and I often climbed up there looking for adventure.
In the seventies after my siblings and I were married, my brother got the idea the barn was no longer safe. It leaned to one side, the foundation logs were rotted away, and the wooden sides were weathered grey with a red patina. He organized a group of families from his church to help him take it down. That is when he learned how safe the barn remained. It took several men three days to strip the exterior, and to pull the frame over on its side. Even though the barn looked unsafe, it still had a sound structure.
Later I learned that my brother’s motive was to use the siding to panel his den. He did, and it turned out amazing. He gave me a memento of my past playground, a picture in a frame made from the barn wood. It hangs in a prominent place in my home, and always will until I die, and then it will pass to my oldest son
In many of my blog pieces I have discussed a phenomenon I called Taxery. That is when you work and support someone else with the taxes you pay. Look at the stats below, and see if your state is in that category. Hell, I’m retired and I still support someone else with taxes. So now, after eight years, we are finally learning what Transformation really means. We never heard what it meant while Obama campaigned. Had he been honest enough to explain what he was up to, he would never have been elected. I don’t blame him though, because he was doing what he had to do to get elected. I blame the press for not asking what he meant by transformation and the American people for voting for him just because he was a smooth talking black man. It is almost over, but now I fear that the same people will vote for Hillary just because she is a woman.

They’ve spent most of their time in academia, government, and/or non-profit jobs or as “community organizers.”
