Here’s a little photograph I bet you will never see on the evening news. It shows one of the VMA-211 Harriers destroyed on the attack on Camp Bastion. The press is still busy discussing a YouTube video from last July as the possible cause of unrest in the middle east, and is still pretty much ignoring the attacks on Camp Bastion and other locations… In this instance in Afghanistan, there is little doubt that the Taliban was specifically targeting the Harrier aircraft to reduce the effectiveness of NATO patrols in the Helmund province…. Makes you realize that all this talk about our just being involved in a “peace keeping” mission is a lot of wishful thinking on the part of politicians…
