    I wish he were pres.!!!!

  2. Pithy and meaningful. Can only be said by a person with no fear and no hidden agenda, i.e. no desire for an elected office. He may have said these in the context of politics, but equally applicable in many spheres.

  4. Great Post Grumpa Joe! I have been a Thomas Sowell fan for a long time. He is one that has been vilified and ostracized by “African-American leaders” for many years, but has simply resolutely gone about the business of becoming a leader in his field. He is a perfect example of how we should never assume people will think a certain way, just because of their gender or race. I am sure that there are many other African- Americans who share his views who keep a lower profile out of fear of backlash.

    • Thanks for the confirmation.

    • You would really appreciate the recent movie “Runaway Slave”.

      • I’ll look foor it. Thanks for the suggestion.
