love-is-familyThis page is from a journal Barb kept while she underwent chemo-therapy. She is very positive on day one, but as the months wore on she became more and more depressed. The tone of her writing shows it. Even so, she managed to care for her three kids and me too without letting on. It wasn;t until she died and I found this journal, that I learned her true feelings about the disease and the treatment.

Barbara loved poetry and prayers. Here is one she lived by

Gentle Jesus

Barbara was a nurse before she was a wife, mother, or grandmother. She worked only a short time but was always finding people who needed help. She gave of herself willingly and selflessly. I often teased that she always “needed a sick puppy to take care of.”

    • Keith; As you can now see, I have lnked your site to the BLOG. I look forward to working with you to build a library all of us can be proud of. In the day of the internet, people say libraries are a thing of the past. Maybe so, but what I see happening is a envigorated search for more knowledge and information. Our little library computers are always crowded, the requested book shelves are always full, kids are working with tutors, and seniors are reading newspapers. The library serves as an important social outlet for many.
      Good Luck this Tuesday!
